Title: transfering bitcoins out of SilkRoad ?
Post by: EasterRabbit on April 05, 2013, 10:58 pm
Hi,
I want to transfer some funds from my Silkroad account to my Mt.Gox one (for example). How do I do that ?
It appears that I can only withdraw funds from other sources or send funds to other Silkroad members but not to accounts out of Silkroad.
Please help

On your account page, there is a box that says "withdraw bitcoins" ... you would put the bitcoin address in there to send to another wallet.

Would it be smart to use a different wallet between your mt. gox account.

If you want to, you can, just to be extra safe.

you could/should wash them at least once to a "throw away" account in between your IRL BTC account.

You can also transfer them through a tumbler like bitcoinfog to wash them if you want to take that extra precaution, they charge about 3-5% if i recall correctly:
