Title: Possible Scammer - Moderator, Please Read!
Post by: ekoostik on April 05, 2013, 05:23 am
SR Forum Moderator-

Hey, just wanted to throw this out there for you to watch. EJDirect is a new vendor from the U.S., and it really smells of a scam similar to Binxter. The profile says they've been a member for a while, but they only have 17 transactions, and have just begun popping up in searches. I'm starting to see some FE's pop up, and it seems like new listings are up every time I look, for some really high amounts (that are too good to be true). Uniwiz started a review thread on some trim, but I think that was something to appease (sample of some shake?). I'm pretty sure you're gonna have some people coming to you guys pretty soon over this one.

We'll keep an eye out on the forums too, but the best thing to do when anyone has been scammed is to use the "Report this vendor" link on the vendor's profile over on SR.  But we'll watch, of course.

Yeah, I already reported, and sent a pm. I just want to make sure somebody saw because they had like 20 listings for large amounts go up in a short amount of time, and wouldn't reply to my message when I asked about finalizing. He's even using LucyDrop's avitar for the listings of acid...that, in and of itself, is a red flag. That, and the prices. I've been taken before, and it looked just like this one. Thanks for replying, Scout.

Thanks for noticing this, it is very encouraging to see forum members on the look out for potential issues and helping keep the community safe.

Damn man, I was just about to purchase from him. Thanks for the heads up.

Just to be fair, it wasn't a sample. The package came very well concealed, but had some newbie issues.

Our real problem is Thefarmacy delivered for months before their FE scam.
The only solution is within us.

One thing for sure those prices have peaked interest across the board. We know better, but somebody will test the waters.

I'm getting conflicting reports, some say they had to FE, but others say no.
Stay in escrow, you should be safe, enjoy Walmart priced drugs.
Lets see coke for $85 a gram, he has everything else.

I am one of the FE on the lucy. I admit, I'm a noob and may have jumped the gun. Hopefully EJDirect comes through and proves all the naysayers wrong.

Yes I placed a large over ($2500) and it's two days after the date promised. Pretty upset.

Today is the latest that my order should arrive. I highly doubt it will. I just placed my second order and the vendor sent me a message saying they had trouble decrypting the address. I'm going to assume EJDirect could not decrypt the address either, but it did not bother them because they had no intention of sending me anything in the first place.

I just have to wait until the mail is dropped off today, but I'm fairly sure I have been scammed. Sucks to learn this lesson the hard way, but it certainly has been learned.

I hope SR will freeze the vendors account and try to refund as many buyers as possible.

kidd0 - I hope you have reported the vendor and changed their rating to a 1 of 5. Hopefully at the very least we can prevent them from scamming anyone else.

I have changed my ratings to 1/5 on both orders placed. Haven't recevied either, one was a pound of bud and one was some BHO. Sucks. I have been putting thousands through Silk Road since I've been a member and if I don't get part of my money back I will likely deactivate my membership and not return. Was nice meeting all of you and good luck with your future endeavors.

I take it this means you finalized early against all warnings otherwise?  If so, there's nothing SR can do to get your money back.  The escrow system is in place for your protection in these types of situations, and SR makes it very clear that if you do not stay within that system, they cannot do anything to recover your funds.

I'm sorry that you were scammed.  :-\

Hopefully, they'll have enough evidence to ban the guy.

why allow f.e then.
Title: Re: Possible Scammer - Moderator, Please Read!

yes why even allow FE then?

Like i said in another thread i blame SR for this, they never should have let this go on for so long. They should not allow any more purchases to be made from this vendor until people start leaving good feedback!

I also dont understand why DPR cant just empty his account of all the STOLEN money he has and refund it or at least some of it to the good users.

This is going to scare away so many good users that put thousands of dollars into this website, like my self.

I certainly have no plans of using the road after this until I see SR take care of the situation.

I'm new here, but if I recall correctly when I placed the order I saw something about how I could not cancel the order for four days.

Just the same, I should not be allowed to finalize for four days. If that had been the case then I would have seen all this talk on the forum and would have refrained from FE.

Now I'm just shit out of luck.

Don't expect me to recommend the road to anyone until some improvements are made.

This may be a stupid question, but can't someone at least have EJDirect submit photos (to mods etc) of his supplies with a newspaper type way (with his user name written on it or whatever) of verifying that at the very least the vendor has what they say they have? Obviously this isn't in any way proof that the person isn't scamming, but the inability to show said products together would lend some credence to the idea that this is a scam. Having ordered from vendors from different countries on sites other than the silk road, it may very well be that the person just got overwhelmed with too many orders and, not wanting to lose business, just keeps taking orders regardless. Any thoughts on this?

They told me they shipped the order Monday morning (with tracking) and that it would take no more than three days. It has been three days and still nothing. They will not provide me with a tracking number either.

They could not take pictures of all their product together because they don't have all that stuff. It is a scam. Simple and obvious.

Do NOT use this vendor. Also, go on their profile and click the "report this vendor" button.

They need to be stopped immediately, and apparently the amount of negative they have been receiving is not enough for SR to step in and shut them down yet.

Pathetic.

yeah this shit is a scam fersure.
hard lesson learned, always check the forums.

i believe this guy has been on silk road scamming for a long time now.

its a pattern,
set up shop send out a few items,
get a few good feedbacks.
Then post tons of shit with great prices,
the orders come flooding in.
Offer discounts and intensives
and the reason of BTC volubility ( which is very real, we saw BTC drop about $100 dollars in a matter of minutes yestarday)
Bullshit people as long as you can,
just milking the cow.

That is what is going on here i believe.
I seriously hope i am wrong.

i posted links to the threads on my feedback.
you all should do the same.

its bullshit silk road cant do anything about, even the people who FE. I mean come on its a known scam he scams thousands and thousands of dollars from people.
Just empty his account of BTC and offer people a gift card to spend it on SR, you guys still get your cut.
That makes everyone happy, then even more money will come flooding in, and everyone will be a lot smarter about who they are buying from,
 preventing scamming in the future

IDK why you would blame SR for your own stupidity unless its out of anger which im sure your vary angry, but think about it just dont FE if the vendor says you have to then use a different vendor its that simple I myself got scammed 200 on an FE my first actual purchase on the road did it discourage me no, was i Pissed as hell yes, but at my own stupidity this site tells you to NEVER FE so dont do it on the other hand why would you stop now this is when you need the road the most i lost my first 200 and then got more money on and bam profits way over 1000 ive lost almost 700 dollars to scams on the road but easily made or saved over 5000 so i mean its your choice but its a simple one

O and as for emptying out his account scammers are smart as soon as they get money they send it to a different wallet cause they know their account could be banned at anytime you will learn little ones you will learn just remember if a deal seems too good to be true it more often than not is ESPECIALLY if they say you gotta FE

I should have really done some research before allowing a purchase from this guy. Lesson learned on my end.

Can you do me a favor and go back into the newbie sub forum and post your experience in every thread warning noobs about the need to research and not FE. I'm serious by the way, I warn people all day long but maybe they will listen to you!

Yes, I know some people got fucked way harder than me, and yes I know I should have not FE and that is my own damn fault, blah, blah, blah.

I still believe that SR should not even allow the FE option for at least 24 hrs. If that had been the case I would have seen the talk on the forum and refrained from doing so.

Yes, I should have checked the forum first, blah, blah, blah. I made a noob mistake, and I wont be the last to do so until SR takes more measures to prevent people from making that dumbass mistake.

I'm not defending my error. I fucked up and I know that. I just think that in the same way I cannot cancel an order for a certain amount of time I should not be allowed to finalize it for a certain time period either
