Title: Sending bitcoins to directly to SR account?

If I had a non SR user send me bitcoins to my SR bitcoin address would it work or not?

Yes, everytime you add BTC to your SR account it is from an external source, no difference here.

OK thanks, I was asking because the person sent me the bitcoins yesterday and I still haven't received them yet, is this normal?

go to blockchain.info and search your SR address and it will give you a progress report on the transaction, 6 verifications and the BTCs are in your account.

It does show any transactions on my address. Could this mean the person hasn't sent the bitcoins yet?

If it's been 24 hours and it shows no transactions then I would say they haven't sent you the coins.

The time can vary depending on what kind of account the person is sending the coins from. If they are sending from GOX, it could take a while. On GOX's end, transfers can sometimes take days. There are no hard and fast rules to how long a transfer will take, as there are multiple factors that can all effect the time frame.

Hello all, I've figured out the problem. The person sending me bitcoins had a problem with Mt. Gox and they should be arrive soon.
