Just purchased some bitcoins then following the procedure outlined (changed passphrase & PIN) then went to the wallet containing BTC at LocalBitcoins.com and transferred them to my SR wallet but after an hour they are not showing. Is this usual, what can I do.
Can any one advise me. Thanks

Bitcoin transactions have to be processed 6 times by miners before they are transferred. This is to prevent them from being spent multiple times during processing.
If you go to blockchain.info and copy-paste the receiver address (your SR account #) it will show you the progress of the transaction. Once it's verified 6 times they will show up in your SR account.

Thanks. Showed up now but when I tried to buy something I entered my pin but it rejected it 4 times. I then went to change my password and PIN but it rejected that so I am now locked out. I cant have made a mistake 5 times. What do I do now. How do i rest my PIN. Message said I have to wait 72 hrs.

I would say contact customer support under the help section of the SR home page, you've obviously entered the wrong PIN number, I don't know how you can reset that I'm afraid.

When transfering Bitcoins to your account, the road does state that you MUST know your PIN beforehand -- and if you don't, then don't transfer the coins! I'm not even sure support can help you...

Hi, just to clarify, when I log on it accepts my changed (new) passphrase but does that mean that if I cannot remember my old PIN (which I wrote down) I will lose all my funds.

No, you won't lose your funds.
