Title: FE
Post by: visionenergy on April 01, 2013, 08:12 am
Whats your FEing experiences?  I Fe'd one time and I got OG that looked like compressed brick weed.  It was good, but I also didn't order OG.  I ordered Cheese that cost a little more and when I told the vendor I didn't receive the right product he informed me he ran out and gave me a product of the same value.  Then Why was it more expensive???  Also the weight was just a little bit short of what I ordered...Not much, but damn...its weed.  No need to be so stingy.   Whats your Fe story.

fe'd a couple of times, havent had any problems with it, so far. but its not to be recommended and especially dont spend more than you can afford to lose. you should never have to fe for domestic.

scout- i agree but most vendors know with good feedback who ship to my neck of the woods, always request fe and the ones who dont, wont ship to where i am.

i guess i could understand a first time buyer FEing, but only to a very, VERY reputable vendor.

I am more willing to FE is the seller is willing to provide a tracking number!

I wouldn't necessarilly trust that.  I like good ole reputation.

That is also a heavy weighting factor for me, would never FE a new seller or someone suspected on selectively scamming.
Although yes I would be very pissed off to get an empty birthday card in the mail with a tracking number on it.

I FE'd because the vendor asked me to as it was my first ever SR order.  The vendor has an extremely good reputation and has contacted me to say when the goods are being shipped.

I realise I have put my money at risk by doing this and perhaps I should have done more research first but from looking at vendor reviews this seems to be fairly common practice when they are dealing with new users.

There's a problem with what you're saying though.  If you think about it, feedback on vendors who require FE is almost meaningless.  The reason the feedback is so great for FE vendors overall is because buyers write the feedback immediately after they placed the order.  They are hoping and praying that the vendor doesn't rip them off, so of course they are going to write great feedback.  Yes, after being ripped off a buyer could change the feedback, but I'd guess 90% of people on SR aren't even aware that you can change feedback later on FE orders. And the people that do know often don't spend the time to go back and change it.

So don't rely on feedback comments for FE vendors.  They werre most likely written after the buyer checked out and mean nothing.  If a vendor has been scamming FE for a while, some of it may have hit his overall rating score, but that may not show up for a while because of the inaccuracy of the feedback.

When checking the vendor's feedback, I was looking for feedback that was on goods actually received (and positive reports on the forums) rather than just FE feedback but yes, what you are saying is true.

I don't think I'd FE again, I was being just like a kid in a candy store after finding SR :)

Fingers crossed my delivery will arrive without incident.

I think that just by ordering you have to accept you are putting your money at risk and expect to eventually lose some shipments to customs etc especially if ordering from overseas.

Much like more traditional types of gambling the trick is no to risk more than you can afford to lose!

That's good advice and one of the reasons I only placed a fairly small initial order.

If it gets here and I'm satisfied with the stealth, etc then I may go on to order again.

I have only ever finalized early once and ended up being scammed but that was a year ago when I was a new member and was not too clued up on things.
Since then I have never had any bad experiences with orders, always have arrived and if they havn't Ive been refunded or had a reship arrive all good :)

Yeah loads of barrier to newbs (such as having to contact sellers before bidding or having to FE). Better off building a reputation with trusted sellers. Then stay away from sellers who want FE.

I really hope my vendors dont ask me to FE. They both seem very reputable though. First transactions in process today! Wish me luck!

I am one of the vendors who require FE but the elves and I work our asses off to serve people in the best way we can.  I don't feel like a scammer- I feel like one of the good guys.  YMMV!

I had to FE on my first ever order, but did my research before I purchased.  Waiting now for it to arrive, only thing that concerns me is the amount of ppl FE'ing on the vendor feedback pages.
