Title: No response from SR support team.
Post by: FredTheFish on March 30, 2013, 09:23 pm
Hello,
So I recently submitted a ticket to the support team on the silkroad website regarding a lost password to my SR account, and I have not received a response to them. It has been an upwards of 20+ hours since I sent the ticket. How long does it usually take to get a response. I'm starting to get worried about whether or not I'm going to hear back from them.

As you can probably imagine SR does not employ are large number of staff and they get slammed with questions all the time most of which would be easily answered if the person read the FAQ and/or the SR wiki.

Weekends are also slower for responses, just be patient mate and they will get back to you eventually.

thanks for the response. I'm sure as you can imagine I'm a little distraught from not being able to access my account that has quite a few bitcoins on it. I'm just a little impatient.

I get it mate but I have to ask, how the fuck does someone forget their pass phrase? seriously, I must see 20 posts a day regarding pass phrase resets and panicked responses about the slow response from SR support and how they absolutely MUST have access to their coins right now, I would say don't forget your fucking pass phrase then and save everyone the grief  :-\

Just sayin'...

If it makes you feel any better, I waited just as long to be let back into my account as well, and neither inigo nor DPR had any idea what could have happened to lock me out.  I use a LiveCD and have a computer only for SR - I memorized the URL about a year ago, I never download anything, and my password is unguessable ... but this is the 2nd time it has happened and no one knows why.

So, in some of these cases, it's not a matter of forgetting the password - I certainly didn't forget mine.

But I do agree with samesamebutdifferent in that you need to learn to be patient and understanding about the time it takes for a response - the team is always dealing with issues as quickly as they are able to, but it's a small team and I can only imagine the huge number of messages they receive every day!
