Title: Having an issue with a vendor who requires FE ( but I will NEVER do it )
Post by: boston.george on March 27, 2013, 09:01 pm
I've made an order with a top vendor who requires FE under a certain import, I didn't understand well his policy and I thought I was not supposed to do it because I have great stats and I've spent more than 220 BC till now, otherwise I would never have considered to put the order in ( I decided after 4/20 great scam to NEVER FE for anyone even he seems the most legit vendor on SR ).
After few minutes I noticed my error and I wrote immediately to the vendor asking to cancel the order or to ship it in escrow, and he replied istantly that I didn't have to FE, so I told him to proceed with the order staying in escrow.
The day after my order was marked "in transit" but - surprise - I received an automated mail from the vendor where I was asked to FE if I wanted that the package was shipped...i tried to contact the vendor asking for a refund/cancel the order or to ship it anyway BUT in escrow, but all my PM got unread and I don't want to wait till resolution with BC fluctuating so much.
Can you help me out??

But if the vendor DID put the order in transit (like actually shipped the package out) then don't you think it'd be worth waiting to see if you receive it before you ask for a refund?  Try getting in touch with the vendor again and find out if the package was actually put in transit yet or not.  If it has been, you'll have to wait and see if it arrives.  If it hasn't actually been shipped out yet, THEN you can try to go about having the order canceled.

he put the order in transit THEN asked me to FE if I wanted it to be shipped, so I'm sure it was not sent out yet...I tried to get in touch with him but no response till now
The import is unhedged, so as BC price has risen in the last few days I suppose he could be unwilling to refund me because he would lose money, but for me it doesn't matter if he sends it out in escrow...if the package arrives in a timely manner probably he will get an extra-profit because BC price is already 20-25% up from when I orderred.
But this lack of communications lets me quite doubtful it would be sufficient he told me "ok let's stay in escrow I'll ship tomorrow".

Please provide the vendors name, and if you want post in:

http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=97635.135 - The don't FINIALIZE EARLY thread. Only YOU can prevent FE.....

If the vendor wants to require FE thats their decision but please let the community know about vendors who do this, thats assuming that they didn't ship and they are just making you wait until RC.

A vendor Alphabet1 did this to me a while back (http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=97089) and as buyers we should not support vendors who require FE in a blanket fashion or lock you into a purchase and hold up your bitcoin until RC to try and force you to finalize. Thats b.s. and they should be outed publicly for it.

Will people please stop FEing for vendors! escrow is there for a reason, USE IT PLEASE!!

If buyers boycotted vendors asking for FE we would see less issues of scamming.
