All,
Help!!! I sent money via bitinstant yesterday during the outage to my btc address but it never showed up at SR. I've done this before with no problem. My bitinstant transaction email told me to check blockchain.info, but I'm afraid I can't understand the transaction logs there. How can I find out where my bitcoins went?
-
Go to blockchain.info and enter your btc deposit address in the search field. It should then show a page that shows a green transaction coming into the address.
-
What about the opposite why with my coins not appearing when i withdrew coins

Again, sometimes there are delays, but if you haven't received them within 12 hours, send SR Support a message on the main site.
-
Scout is right, you'll be fine it has happened to all of us...
Our BTC is getting quite popular since the halving-party and Cyprian ordeal.

Scout,
Thanks for the reply. I did that and it does show that for yesterday, but then today it shows my address on the left and a red arrow and two other BTC addresses on the right. I never saw the bitcoins in my account and never authorized any transfer to other accounts, so I'm seriously confused and concerned.

Have you already contacted support? Also, the part you see in red is just proof of the built-in bitcoin tumbler here at SR -- it's just showing that it is working correctly and tumbling the coins before they show up in your wallet in order to increase anonymity (or at least break the chain).
No need to be worried about that part - that's all you're seeing with the red arrow to two other BTC addresses. :)

I just did. I figured it's been 24 hours, but then the site was down longer than expected for maintenance, so I didn't want to jump the gun. I'm sure you guys are busy enough as it is. Thanks for letting me know about the tumbler. That's a relief.

It's always scary to see the coin tumbler in action for the first time! hehe. Rest assured though, that is all it is. As for not having receiving the deposit to your SR wallet yet, that is just due to site-wide delays. So definitely send SR Support a message on the main site and know that they WILL get to it and you WILL see your coins. :)

Scout,
How long does it usually take for the Support personnel to respond to a request? I haven't heard anything back yet.

They deal with issues as quickly as they can. In most of these cases, you'll see your coins even if you don't receive a message back.

Well, they haven't done either, yet.
-
There's nothing more I can tell you - we can't do anything from our end on the forums here, so you'll either need to be patient and trust that your coins will show up when they get to your complaint, or message them again but realize sending multiple messages isn't going to get their attention any sooner --- there are a lot of things that need to be dealt with, and they do so as soon as they are able to.

that's a little reassuring at least. Never taken longer than an hour except for now, but I suppose there is a first for everything

This is really abgeficht...it's been over 48 hours and my funds are still in the wind...
-
Contact SR Support - that's all you can do.

I know and I have and they say the funds should be here by now and to let them know if they're not, so I have and...etc,etc,etc. Just a bit anxious about the whole thing...
