So I put in an order, it got cancelled by the seller, does SR end up keeping some of the bitcoins? Now I'm like .10 bitcoins short...
-
Is it their SR fee?
-
:(
-
I have no idea..just checked my account history now for exact numbers.
I sent 2.51 over, but only got 2.35 back :(
-
did you contact them?
-
Just did now, guess I should of checked out the support first, I'll see whats going on hopefully...
-
I'm guessing it's because they are using escrow hedging ... which has a fee. In the future, if you're worried about it, you can use a vendor that doesn't use escrow hedging (it will tell you when you add an item to your cart).
-
Yes it's the hedging fees which are about 4% if I am not mistaken.
-
Yeah you guys are right, damnit, it was over something so dumb too...ughhh
Still even at 4-5% I should of received a few more back...its more like 6.5% fee they took out :( oh well guess ya live and learn, still kinda sucks
-
If they're using escrow hedging, then you get the same amount back in USD as you initially paid ... which could be less BTC if the BTC price has risen.
-
Isn't escrow hedging recommended?
-
sure it is recommended, but with the price of BTC going up and up and up and it is almost a rarity to see anyone hedged. would you? having said that, when btc where 10 bucks almost everyone was hedged. some folks have quadrupled their earnings on here simply by NOT cashing out. think about that for a minute.
-
Ya but what happens when the market crashes and a bticoin is worth $3 again, like it did like a year ago from $30. Did you think about that?
-
Lots of questions people asked in the newbie section are already answered in the buyers guide which Silkroad asks you to read before you do anything, thats why they have this newbie forum 50 post thing....to many already answered questions were being asked on the main forum.
-
I guess newbie section is working as intented then.

Lets hope I see that crash coming I don't want to lose my precocious BTC
