I'm confused - I thought edar = joolz ...

Also, it's important to note that a vendor asking people to FE is not always proof of that vendor being a scammer.  Granted, no one should be finalizing until they have received their order and are happy with it, but a vendor simply asking people to FE doesn't mean that they are necessarily scamming.

Unless there's something else to the story other than the vendor requesting FE?

While I agree that asking for FE is not necessarily a sign of a scammer,   I believe it is against the rules to request FE before you have 35 completed illicit transactions and it does not seem like a good sign for a new vendor to be breaking the rules already.

That's absolutely correct (and I'm sorry for not realizing they were a new vendor!).  However, staff won't / can't ban a vendor until they have proof that the vendor in question is truly scamming people.

Still, if it is a new vendor with less than 35 transactions, DEFINITELY report the fact that they are asking you to FE in spite of it saying specifically in the Seller Guide that they are not permitted to request early finalization.

The OP says he placed a large order, how large?  It's quite possible the order is so large the vendor isn't comfortable filling it having no history of prior sales with the buyer.

I agree new vendors shouldn't be trying to get around the early finalization rules, as Scout says but it doesn't prove they are a scammer simply because they asked for FE.  It shows poor judgement, as what they should have done is PM'd the buyer explaining they were uncomfortable with such a large order to a new buyer and asked them to place a smaller order first, to build trust.

think the point is ... You cant ask for FE with under 35 transactions.  Be scam paradise  ???

i'm pretty sure its a scam
very similar to most attempts

first several buys in their page shows small items
cheap btc amounts maybe easier for them to make fake buys

then all of a sudden out of nowhere they have hp qp and pound offers
then requiring FE as if they have built decent reputation
its annoying
damn these scammers

Double, triple, quatriple, octomoctotriple!?! One time is enough, triple posting, quoting yourself, spamming 5 pages on threads is a tad excessive.

My guess would be that you are about 16 / 18 years old, but you might have been browsing the forums for a while.

Anyway, goodluck with your SR shop

pm from  another buyer.(under 50 posts)  ..NOT GOOD    read on              DO NOT FE

canadianknowledge(99)    Hi

We were scammed last night out of 50.68 bitcoins. We are not pleased but that's a risk we took

We have decided to take measures into our own hands for our protection

We are going the route now of asking you now that we require FE before order is shipped

If you do not agree that's fine by us, just let us know and we will simply cancel your order, not a problem

Our apologies for the blunt reality but there is so many scams in SR right now it's just safer for us to do business this way from now on, we can not afford to lose over 5k in one single night

CK :)
