After having my account frozen for reasons listed in this thread:

I have been notified that they are "confiscating my funds", in other words, stealing my 127 bitcoins.
I had trust in SR that I could leave my coins on the account, but this is NOT THE CASE.
REMOVE YOUR COINS FROM THIS SITE INSTANTLY, AND GET THEM IN TO YOUR OWN WALLET.
I can not believe this shit.

You don't get refunds if you FE or otherwise place an order outside of escrow. If, however, you stayed in escrow, then, yes, you would receive a refund.

So you're complaining because you spent bitcoins that weren't yours and then they canceled your order? Seriously? You realize that otherwise, the vendor you purchased from would have been effectively scammed out of the cost of your order, right? It's not called "stealing" when SR expects you to pay vendors for the orders you place with ACTUAL bitcoins that BELONG TO YOU.

LOL @ comparison. Enjoy owing your bank if that happens. This is a common occurrence, and only in VERY rare situations with exceptional circumstances do people get to keep money they received mistakenly. SR balanced the books, and set things right.

I'm sorry to say this Sam but I agree with SR for banning you. Rules are rules, and in an environment like this, they MUST be enforced to the letter. I've read through everyone's posts about this, including yours. You say you felt rushed to complete the order and it is somehow the buyer that convinced you to go OOE and use WU. You must have known you were breaking the rules at that point. Just like in the real world, you break the rules, you pay the price. In the normal world it could be jail time. But on here, they hit you in the one place that can hurt you, your wallet.
It is sad to see a vendor go down like this. However, if you really are legit, you'd pick yourself up and start again. You broke the rules, you paid the price. There should be nothing stopping you coming back and starting again. Even ex-cons get a second chance once they've paid their dues.

All you had to do that day was glance at the forums and you'd have seen this was an issue and people knew (well, most people knew) not to attempt to scam vendors by placing orders with the fake, non-existent coins. You are trying to fuck over the system and then complaining when it doesn't work. Life doesn't work that way and if this happened with your bank account, you can damn well bet that they wouldn't simply shrug their shoulders and let you keep a bunch of money that wasn't real or didn't belong to you ... and you can also damn well bet that they would do whatever was necessary to cancel any orders you had placed using that money that wasn't yours.

WHAT. how good we have it? yeah im sure hes gonna lay down tonight just reminding himself how "good" he has it. him making a dumbass mistake does not warrent theft of coins sorry but it doesnt. he fucked up yeah ban him but rob him too? this is too far. this issue needs to be posted in the rules. if they want to confiscate money after situations like this fine. but it needs to be posted in the rule section. just implementing this new law with out any legislation is fucked up. REFUND his money. add to list of rules/consequences. practice hence forth.

The forums were absolutely fine that day. In fact there were several threads about the issue, including one multiple pages long where we were discussing all of it in real time as it was happening.
SR didn't say "we're keeping your money as OUR profit" -- the order you placed was with a vendor who was using escrow hedging, which is stated in your cart when you add an item. You chose that vendor, and you chose to place an order with them. If you had placed an order with a vendor NOT using escrow hedging, then you wouldn't have lost any money when the order was canceled.
Or, if you had simply not tried to "game the system" with the fake coins, then that too would have prevented your $50 loss.

I made a remark the other day about you should take some time away and re-evaluate your situation and this is exactly what I meant by that. By the way, thanks for telling me NOT to keep my BTC savings on SR. With all the options to hold BTC why the fuck would you keep approx. $6k worth on an illegal site that could be compromised at any moment? You don't suffer from bad luck, you suffer from stupidity. When the network is running smoothly, which it almost always is, you can move BTC to and from SR in roughly an hour. You're an idiot if you keep any more BTC in your SR wallet than you have to.
It's almost as funny how the others here are also crying about SR holding them accountable for the BTC they stole off SR. And then they are ignorant enough to act like SR stole off them! You gotta be a real moron to open your account, find extra money, and honestly think you "won" a lottery. Last I checked you have to claim prizes in any lottery, they don't just automatically send you the winnings. And if they did there would be a notification attached to it. It's also funny how fast they can come to the forum to cry about it but they couldn't come here when it happened to look into it. Like Scout said there were multiple threads posted almost immediately addressing the situation. It's amazing the shit people try to pull when they get behind an anonymous keyboard. cosmic lottery it is an expression. and no the fourms DID not load for me that day i assume all you assholes with your " real time covos" clogged up the servers. i assume there was quite a bit of a frenzy going on. people who had never even used the fourms poping in, regular users flooding in...etc. i was given limited information...fake btc WUT the fuck??? i didnt even know it was possible. it doesnt really matter any ways i ended up deciding that the 50 dollars was well spent. i spent a whole evening blown out of my mind higher than i have ever been...well...you know. it was so fucking awsome...for a few hours...and in the end thats what i pay for everyday anyways....it was like one of those trick scratch off tickets.

Agreed. In fact, I had no idea about the feedback manipulation or involvement with TeflonDon/mtlJohn/CanadianLTD until SamGiancana posted all his messages with Vendor Support. Knowing those things, I believe the staff was 100% correct in the decision they made.

I havent personally done it. This info is all in the Sellers guide. Once the vendor has fulfilled the criteria, they go to http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/account/bond_refund to request it back.

It's actually not like that at all - inigo himself posted here, and all the things I've said are my own opinion and my own understanding of things. Definitely not trying to speak on behalf of DPR at all.

Surely the vendors griviences ought to be private.
SR do have to have rules and most vendors know accounts can be frozen if rules are broken.
There is a dsipute going on but its unfair to try to get mere customers here to take one side or the other when most of us hsve no idea about what it is about!
Also, most vendors would move a lot of coin off the site as it makes sense really. Keep enough for refunds maybe but I am sure most would have separate legal accounts. SR could not be argued as some investment whilst tons of other bitcoin suppositories can be and are 1005 legal.
So on a legal point it makes sense to move excessive amounts of coin to third party sites.
Anyway, its Friday night and I'm on a fucking forum! But got to economise and thw wife is out of town so thought I'd smoke some bloinding oil and bud with some hash coming. Also looking forward to some other goodies and will reveal all in the reviews as and when products hit the carpet!
