Title: SR Vendor Inquiry Regarding Forum Info
Post by: National Direct on March 04, 2013, 01:34 am
Hi! I've been a vendor for just over a month now with over 30 transactions and 99% feedback. My question is very straightforward. My SR Vendor account name is "National Direct" exactly as it is here on the forums, and I wanted to get the "SR Vendor" title below my name for a more professional and legitimate look. I'm assuming a forum mod or admin could help me with this as it is strictly request for a forum account change.

If this is not the place to register for that title, then I will have to contact admin support on my SR vendor account. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance  :D

Have you received a refund on your vendor bond yet?  If not, you need to have received that before you can request access to the vendor forum.

Thanks for your quick response! I have not had my bond refunded yet, so it will be about 2 weeks until I'm qualified to. Once I do receive my bond, should I post the same inquiry here? Or is there a dfferent way I'm suppposed to go about doing it?

Thanks,

N. Direct

Once you've received the refund, you can send a PM to inigo and request access.

What are the requirements to get your bond back? Is there a time limit it must be completed in? If SR goes down for good the day after someone gets an account, are they just shit out of luck?

I'm not sure how it would work for vendor bonds but you should set up the backup BTC address in your account settings, link below:

http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/silkroad/settings

In the event of SR going down your coins will be transferred to that address.

i realize that you can have the coins auto transferred out, i meant in relation to the bond. Sorry if I was not clear the first time, say someone buys a vendor account, the site goes down for whatever reason and they never get a chance to fulfill the requirements. it is probably a dumb question but are they just shit out of luck now and out $500 + all of the orders that where sent out but not finalized yet?

It's my presumption that management plans for SR are such that the intention and goal of administration is to keep site up-time at the highest possible levels and in the event of any problem, the goal is to fix the problem and prevent recurrence. From a business view, if the vision is strong enough, then there is no convincing the leaders that they may fail. That said, I would assume unclaimed bonds and un-released escrow to be a loss in the event of permanent closure. I think the contingencies that are the focus of SR management is succession planning and continuous improvements, research and security innovations. With a focus on this, and SR's current performance, I would bet this road is being paved, longer and longer. I'm optimistic and that is my hope. But remember, there are no contracts here, so all inputs are potential losses. Use your judgment, and write a business plan before u start!

Hi Scout, I would like to get the SR Vendor designation as well. Our account was created prior to the bond increase, so I'll assume the bond refund is not applicable.

Just curious if there's anything else we need to do, we PM'ed Inigo regarding this the other day and assume that you guys are just really busy and will get to it soon. But if there is a step that we overlooked, please advise.

Thanks!! :D

inigo is the only person who can admit vendors to the vendor forum, so you'll just need to wait until he either admits you, responds to your request, or doesn't ... as i know there are cases in which a vendor is not given access.  just have to wait and see.
