Quite the paradox. And testing my patience. All because I want to see if anyone on this forum has a certain item available...
-
It's not a paradox, and you are free to ask about the availability of whatever it is in this forum as well.

I'm not gonna lie, this confuses me... Why allow noobs to spam the noob forum, if you are going to require a post amount for non noob posting....
-
LOL

yay!!

I can't really understand either why this limitation is used :
Advantages :
- Discourages Troll/spammers/scammers from creating fresh account to ruin the forum.
Drawbacks:
- Indirectly HIGHLY encourages spamming the Newbie Section (apparently this is not important that this part of the forum is not really of any use at this point).
- Wouldn't hold much long a motivated spammer.
- Discourages honest new users from actively participating in discussions.
- Spam posts uses scarce ressources that could be used to host better content.
I know how hard it is to moderate large forums, but that doesn't seem like a very nice solution to trolls/spammers. For me it's like : "Hello, newb. You will now be forced to asked your questions to other noobs. You will need to post 50 times to get out of this HELLISH section, SPAM seems tolerated to go for this limit".
I would probably prefer for posts to be on hold until reviewed by an Admin for low posts users. Until they reach say 25 posts, they can post freely.
It will delay discussions which is annoying, but at least it doesn't force noobs to seek help to other noobs :(
