Title: SMF critical update
Post by: Shpongloid on February 23, 2013, 10:11 am
It appears that Simple Machines Forum that powers this very board has received a critical security update on February, 1. I wonder why hasn't been it applied yet? I mean, it's Silkroad, security is of utmost importance here, right?

I actually heard about this as well.  But, what with the fiasco going on over missing btc into the SR' accounts, I have no doubt they are busy with that and this takes a back seat.

At least, I hope they are working on the missing thousands of dollars form many of our SR accounts, mine included.

Let's hope this is one of the next things they tackle here.

This would definitely take a backseat to fixing the problems some people are experiencing with withdrawals / deposits.  Also, you should never be posting any kind of sensitive info here on the forums.

I hope you review the source code for the SMF critical update, it may contain a backdoor.
