Have been trying to get on to SR for not far off an hour, it just times out or fails to connect.
Anyone else in the same position or not?

Yep. Traveled half way across the world to get mah drugz and half the fucking packages are not waiting for me at my hotel. BAD time for shit to be down.

Can't say I am as bad off, but still dislike the situation. Bit concerned that there isn't any post giving a reason yet.

I'm having troubles connecting to SR as well. It may just be overloaded with users right now. I wouldn't worry about it at this point.

It may have as much to do with Tor as it does with anything else . . . being a holiday for USA & all, been getting real dumb questions from n00bs as well so may have a lot of congestion on Tor overall. Found that opening 5 or 6 tabs & trying to load SR usually finally works!

Thanks for the replies, so can I get a confirmation off anyone that they are on SR ok? Trying to figure out if it is a problem with Tor in general, or just SR.

Keep refreshing your identity by clicking the 'Use new identity' button on the 'Vidalia Control Panel' you may need to do this multiple times but you'll be connected eventually. I've had connection problems all weekend, other .onions have also been down for me (like Tormail) so I think it's more of a Tor connectivity problem than a SilkRoad problem, hope Tor releases another 'security update' soon as that normally speeds things up :)

Yeah I can't get on, does seem to be TOR driven though, hell it just took me like 10 tries to get on the forums...

I got to the SR login screen twice in 3 hours, but no further. I also wasn't able to get on here until about 30 minutes ago.
And to top it off, NO MAIL TODAY. Stupid presidents. Jk

Took me around 45mins but SR is on and working fine now. ;)

yea havent been able to get on but once - and when tried to transfer a small amount of coins was booted for rest of day.
still cant get on the sr. :( i have a customer that forgot to give addy and i cant ship without it...
i did read something on a forum a couple weeks ago that was really bothersome though - the people that use p2p
to download movies and such are all suggesting that everyone use TOR to hide themselves! can u imagine the
bandwidth hogging for movies and the like? i hope its not true but ima sure the morons r doing it more and more!

Yes I am having issues all day. My load time has been slower than dial up.. 20 minutes to load 1 message

This is what I do as well. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Seems to be working fairly well today so far.

That would be a nightmare! I haven't been able to get on SR much at all, which is starting to become a problem communication wise
