Bitinstant is limited to 500 $ cash per transaction. .
Should I wait a day in between cash drops?
Or is it ok too make like 4 or 5 mtgox deposits n one day?
-
Good question. I also wonder if you can make them back-to-back in one visit. There are quite a few items that cost more than $500.
-
Im wondering if doin multiple transactions within a hour would cause any errors while funding mtgox.
-
If you're using Bitinstant, then yeah, if you send 2 transactions within a 24 hour period, the 2nd one will usually get stuck due to their fraud filter, and then you have to get them to push it through manually, which sometimes happens quickly and other times takes days for them to respond.

Thats what I thought. Any suggestions on where to buy btc from without a 500 $ limit per transaction

I was wondering the same thing. Anybody know about BitMe? They don't say anything about maximum deposits on their website, and they only charge .0005 bitcoins per withdrawl.

I think Blockchain.info and ZipZap will permit cash deposits at Walmart, CVS and 1/2 the Mexican Restaurants in the area. You can probably deposit up to $2500 daily, but anything over $5000 per month might get you noticed. Spread it around a 100 mile radius
and you should be okay. Big trick would be getting over $5K or $10K from Bank account without raising flags, and a bag of skunky $100 bills would be remembered, I would think.

So, you're saying the best thing to do is go to Blockchain.info, create a wallet there, and deposit at Walmart or CVS? That sounds convenient. Can anybody explain the best step-by-step to creating a wallet, to making deposits, to transferring the deposit to SR? I think it would help tremendously. Blockchain doesn't really explain everything. I know there's another thread in which somebody explains on how to go through steps like BitInstant to Mt. Gox to SR, but that seems more expensive, timely, and risky. I'd rather go and make one large deposit and put it into my account than go through the bs more often, or using Mt.Gox. Is it better to open these accounts and make transfers from somewhere other than home? Does Blockchain flag you if you're using Tor? If anybody can answer these questions, I'm sure it would help most newbies.

Does anyone have a recent thread with the extent of the situation??Thank you, DP

its made to protect you large amounts of currency being exchanged always draws a red flag especially considering what your depositing the money I'm sure you wouldn't want LE at your door also consider that most of the exchange sites tell you to use clearnet & no tor

I'm not talking $10,000 dollars, but enough to buy quantity of something, maybe $2000. If I were to buy something for, say, $800. I'd hate to have to go on two different days to make two deposits, and four trips to a computer not at my home, only to have to do it again and again (semi-daily). It seems like that would leave as big of a trail as one payment, which I can sit on for a little longer

So, basically, you're saying I should open a few accounts and just go between deposit locations, huh?

What about moneygram deposits? Can any other site take more than $500? What about Mt. Gox?

Steps- 1. Blockchain.info select ewallet up top and create your ewallet.
2. from your ewallet select Cash Deposit
3. BitInstant Page deposit using cash form- Input amount, fname, lname, DOB -- Click Make Anonymous - continue
4. Select Cash deposit Location -- Pick a walmart, CVS or other place close to you
5. Generate ZipZap Deposit slip and take it to cash deposit location, and give them money
(BTW: Deposit currently down, working from memory)
I used walmart, generated the "deposit slip" and it to walmart. Customer service looked at it, said fill out blue form and give me money.
There are probably 50 deposit locations, so spread your money around. Its good for the economy and you. I have considered putting money in
as investment, so if asked why you're depositing money that would be on innocent excuse. \
Hope this helps a little. It cost 5%, but its easy and fast.
