Hi, is there a possibility to change my username? I would like to have an email address which corresponds to my username, but tormail does not allow to have a digit on the first position. Thank you.

hi i want to change my call name on the forums, i initially used morphineman before i opened a vendor forum, my views were different and dont corespond with my business model and for simplicity i want to have the same name on both. canadiandrugs is what i want on both, so i want to change my name on the forums from morphineman to canadiandrugs. this will make things simple for my customers, how do i do that?

Short answer is that I don't think you can change your username. If you really need something different, you may just need to start a new account ... but that would take some work since you'd have to start fresh with 0 posts.

Not sure if this is just something I can do or whether anyone can do it but go into your forum profile followed by account settings. I am able to change my user name there but have no idea if others can. It might just be an admin feature mods have or something.

As a normal user you are only able to change the rest of the account settings page - except the name. (email/mailfromusers/online-status/password/secret question)

I wandered into this section by accident.
You cannot change your username on this SMF version (unless a mod or admin, also, they probably have phpMyAdmin on their acc./). A lot of non regular characters also do not seem to work on SMF forums either, not sure why.
You cannot change your username on SMF forums anyway, you can only change the appearance. So, you will log in as your original name and then it will appear on forums as you have altered it in Forum Profile. Someone once changed their username from samesamebutdiffernt to samesamebutdifferent but they are a mod.

I wouldn't change my name to that even if I COULD change it. Like "76" I would just stay clear of putting "canadian" in your username. Remove the psychological link from previous vendors.

A quick look at your Karma indicates to me that changing the name of your forum account will likely damage whatever reputation you have as canadiandrugs. Stop using that account and representing your business with it immediately if you care at all about your perceived reputation from potential new customers.
