There are not many places that will accept credit card payments in exchange for bitcoins because it's far too easy to reverse credit card payments.
-
I've always paid with exact change in cash when I use bitinstant, but I wonder if you could use a card at walmart or something?
-
so is it not possible at all from creditcard? i couldnt find the option from blockchain/MtGox/BitInstant...ive wasted alot of time trying to figure all this out and even took time off work for the bigger dream of things so i need to know if im wasting my time or that there is a way...i have a debit plus card which acts as an eftpos card that can purchase online with the available cash it has on it. and uses my money from the bank, im not aware of reverse payments and walmart doesnt exist in this country or is there walmart online to purchase bitcoins? lol
thanks for the replies

Bank transfers is what most Bitcoin sellers/suppliers relay on :)

so i can use my card to perform bank transfers? sorry about the nooby q's, im new to internet transactions other than paypal/cc lol

From what I've observed, yeah, you're not going to get any transfers from your bank card, or CC, or PayPal or other conventional credit-or-debit-based means. The simplest way is basically to sign up with a bitcoin purchasing service (Blockchain and Mt.Gox are good for exchanging currencies but buying them there isn't really something I've been able to see done so far?), and then transfer from there to another wallet or to SR, and just provide a link to a bank account from which to draw funds.
It seems a fair amount of people have gotten some use out of Coinbase, a company in SF that handles BTC purchases from USD. Granted, it seems to take about a week for the requested transfer to go through, but that could just be a routing/security/banking issue. (I really need to read up on their FAQ again.)
