Post by: thetopshelf on February 01, 2013, 05:06 am
I have a review thread I cant even post in because I dont have 50 posts.

I do however have a vendor account on the main site

If you have 35+ transactions and a link to your vendor profile in your forum signature, then you can message inigo and request access to the vendor forum.

I think the 35 transactions need to be thrown out the window - as that is a very long time to not be able to respond to a thread asking questions or comments about us as a vendor. (It's also redundant - 50 posts are going to be a lot faster than 35 transactions.)

That's not always the case - some vendors have far more sales than forum posts.  Regardless, the rules aren't up to me - I'm just repeating them.

So you have to pay money to sell here, then you have to wait to post to the forum?
Who makes up the rules lol.

The 'newbie' base was something I pestered DPR to do because of all the spam, basically to copy the bitcointalk forums measures they use to combat spam. And now I'm locked in it lol

Well, comsec, you're only 5 posts away from getting out of it!

I'm in the same boat lol. The forum and SR accounts aren't as linked as they should be. People like us that want to talk to our customers (especially if we're new vendors, although I've been really busy lately working on the business side, even hiring some labour). But hey now we get to talk to prospective customers and friends anyway so we won't care at all after we get 50 posts... It's not really THAT much.. but that verification code that a computer can read is redundant.

BTW good luck as a new vendor.. and good for you to come post on the forums!
