I've been a member of SR for 18 months, and I vend on and off in very small quantities. Hell I got my sellers account before you even had to pay get one... I haven't been selling for the past two months and would like to get word out that I am back, and have cheap dex etc. etc. etc.
How come I cannot start a new thread in the Rumor Mill section? I'd like to create a vendor thread for myself, as well as get "vendor" under my name.
If anyone can help me or point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it

This was a recent change to attempt to cut down on spam. In order to post in forums other than the newb one you need to have 50+ posts. So, start spamming away in here! Shouldn't take very long.

You have to have 50 posts here in the newbie section prior to being able to post in the rest of the forum.
As for access to the vendor forum, you need to have 35+ transactions and a link to your vendor profile in your signature here. Then you need to send a message to inigo to request access.

Anyone with <50 posts is relegated to the newbie forum.
Retarded ... there should be something regarding actual tenure of membership as well.

I hate post count restrictions because when it comes to posting, quality > quantity.
To combat spam they should have more moderators, like every other message board on the net.

Despite me being affected by this recent change of not allowing members with less than 50 posts to participate in other forums, I support this change. Have you people seen the amount of spam by trolls and newbies?!
But, I think it's too restrictive - I think this new rule should not apply to members who have been around for a certain amount of time, e.g 1 month, 3 months, etc.

Yeah, i would only come on occasionally to research a seller or to post a review, so my post count isn't that high, but I've been a member well over a year. Now all of a sudden i've got to start spamming the newbie thread if i want to be able to leave any reviews. To be honest I'm not sure it's even worth it. I'll probably just stick to the standard feedback for now, and when I finally get up to 50 posts (if ever since I'm not exactly lurking on this forum), I'll start to post reviews here too...

Just see it this way:
1. It's fairly easy to reach 50 posts, mainly because you can post as much useless spam as you want in this section.
2. Reaching 50 posts still takes a fair amount of time, so real spammers are unlikely to go through that ordeal and then get banned in minutes after their first post in the real forums.

You have a point, but still, a 50 post requirement is stupid. 25 would've been more sensible.

I need to post a review for a great vendor. Gotta get the word out. I've been buying from SR for a while, it sucks that I can't let others know about the quality of product and service.
