Title: Silkroad down?
Post by: a845631 on January 16, 2013, 08:34 pm
I usually try 4-5 times an im in. I have been trying for over an hour, spamming reconnect and nothing but timeouts. Anyone else?

Works for me -- you may just need to try a "new identity" in tor/vidalia a few times.

Is SR down or is it just me that is having problems? Probably just super busy, but I just put a lot of money in my SR wallet so I was just curious!

I reported that post. Any kind of post like that, even in jest (and lets not pretend he is not hoping to collect some bitcoins this way) should be grounds for immediate banning.

O I have a zero tolerance policy personally.

Haha, I just saw this dude in another post telling a coke seller he should pay him in product to come to the forums and spam about how good his product is so he can re-establish his business.  This was before he ever even tried it!  He used the old "I have 100+ post and people trust me on the forums"  Apparently not ;D

I think the 5 BTC was jokingly said, but I doubt if he collected he would return it based on previous posts. I've also seen him advertising he sells bitcoins. Didn't know that was allowed without a vendor acct.  Either way don't trust this dude. Nomad's right.

Sorry to get off post but SR is working fine for me. Wait, great for me. Fast page flips and first time login. Just keep switching up identities and hopefully your problem will clear up.
