Wow this has been a perfect storm for me. Tried to get bitcoins through bitinstant on saturday and after contacting their support my coins finally hit my instawallet this morning. Then I send the coins to my sr account and now I have to wait for them to show up once again. Heres to hoping that the coins show up sometime today.

Can we get a temporary notice on the deposit or account pages, please? Keeping people informed of this before they make moves is surely the Right Way here.

Heh .. I knew SR crew is in a process of resolving the problem but some ppl are very insistent on their doomsday prophecy that this is the "END of Silk Road "... give me a break.

man I always seem to have the worst luck when it comes to SR. Any other info or when people start to see funds please post to let us all know. I made a deposit and go the email they were transferred to my account almost 5 hours ago. but now when I go in to look at my mail again tormail seems to be down too. banner fvking day....

I was definitely a little worried myself until I started seeing that it's affecting so many others, but this update made my evening and now the whole thing was fortunately no big deal. Never thought of it as the end of the road myself, I was more worried it might have been a mistake which resulted in some people losing out. I can accept taking risks when it comes to ordering and having things shipped, but if my money ever gets permanently lost somehow on its way to SR then I don't think I could bear having to worry about that every time also. At that point street buying and using other services would become the more desirable option for my needs.

Thanks for the update, i've withdrawn 102 BTC 5 hours ago, nothing came trough, was already panicking. Any ETA on when this problem is resolved? 102 btc is alot of money for me..

What about a deposit that was sent early this morning, longer then 6 hours ago? What the heck happened with that? It has over 35 confirmations.
This is my 4th time I made a deposit to my SR account and 4th time there was a problem. Not a very good system this is, huh?

I'm assuming that DPR meant that they will process deposits and withdrawals which have been made in the last 6 hours or before that. I hope so anyway or else I'm still fucked.

I made a deposit at 10:30 am of 119.798 BTC, still nothing in my account and it's almost 5:00 PM.
Hopefully I'm one of the first in line.
EDIT: Sorted. I knew it would be, t'was just a matter of time.

Sweet, I have my coins now too all ready to be spent. In hindsight I wish I'd just not bothered to get any bitcoins today and just waited til later in the week, because this morning I sort of felt like putting it off but for whatever reason decided to press on, but all is well now.

Nothing is perfect guys issues occur are dealt with life goes on the biggest problem with Silk Road is how uneducated about the system the new generations of members are here.
DPR's #1 concern at all times is the status of the security of everyone's btc's, with the exception of the clueless FE supports.

Of course, SR is exactly like a bank. And next time you're at your local bank, ask if you can withdraw grams of coke and MDMA instead of cash.
Idiot. This ain't f'in WalMart. Back in the pre-Internet days, I'd give cash to a friend and wait a few weeks or sometimes months until the hookup happened, if it happened at all. Sometimes it would be years between hookups for particular DOC. Even a week is prompt. 8 hours is basically instantaneous in this context.
