That's the nice thing about putting your btc deposit address into the search field at blockchain.info or blockexplorer.com .... because if any coin transfer has been initiated, it would show up there immediately (even if it takes several more hours to receive them).

Always a good idea to buy/transfer more btc than you think you need.

why no Phone support ?   let me know if you hear anything guys..thanks.

They do have phone support.  It says the number is 1-716-712-4846.

I just feel bad because you paid for the coins and I'm hoping you don't get screwed out of some money due to the exchange rate fluctuations.  Plus, there is absolutely ZERO reason that a service as large as bitinstant should take THIS LONG to get someone their coins.  Plus, their support flat out sucks.

It's not mean of you to want what you paid for.  Also, they guarantee that if the mistake is on their side, they will refund you the 4% fee as well .... but, yet again, they don't always offer this unless you bring it to their attention that they said they'd do it.  A little bit shady, in my opinion.

If you aren't able to get a hold of them through their email, have you tried their phone support number?  Or have you tried posting a thread over at bitcointalk.org?  The owner of bitinstant is "Yankee" over there, and once you post publicly that you haven't received a response or your coins, they "suddenly" start to take it seriously and fix the issue for you.

I hope that some agency somewhere looks seriously into these events.  Seriously, someone needs to.

Customer support / Re: How can I get my refund ASAP
« on: February 13, 2013, 10:24 pm »
I know other people have heard back from support recently, so I know they're still there going through support requests.  At the same time, I also know they're busy, so it probably does take awhile for them to get back to everyone.

Customer support / Re: missing coins and support
« on: February 13, 2013, 10:18 pm »
What do you mean they are missing?  You bought coins from a vendor and they haven't shown up in your account?  Or did you buy them from an exchange?  If you bought them from an individual vendor and they haven't shown up, there's a possibility that you were scammed.

How did you purchase them in the first place?
