This kind of thing is not allowed here.

If you hadn't put that stupid 50 posts rule I bet there wouldn't have been so much spam. Just my 2 cents.

FYI, moderators didn't come up with this policy - the admins did.  Also, no, you are misunderstanding -- the users spamming to 50 posts are fine - that is not the kind of spam people are talking about.  The reason for this policy was the bitcoin spammers advertising scam sites and stealing people's money.  Those are the spam posts we're discussing here.

When you have problems with your password or PIN, you need to get in touch with Support over on SR at the link posted by Namarrg0n.

Which part?  But, yes, I'm serious -- and the other mod, samesamebutdifferent, does the same.  We both eventually have to sleep though.

It's okay ... I know sometimes people don't realize that there are literally two of us doing this  - we're both on almost all day every day and the spam does come in throughout the day/night .... we are usually here to delete it, but no one can be here 24/7, so sometimes the spammers do hit again while we're offline.  We always clean it up as quickly as we get back on!  :)

Please be patient.  We spend all day and night deleting the spam as it comes in, but at some point, we have to sleep.  I was personally on until 5am deleting spam, and then I slept (during which time they spammed more).  I'm back on now and cleaning it up.  Some patience and understanding from the other members here would be nice.

Read this tutorial:

And make sure you are using the nightly build of GPGTools:

Guys, I, personally, am here deleting spam for 18+ hours a day.  All day yesterday, included, but eventually I have to sleep.  I'm back on and cleaning it up, but some patience and understanding would be nice.

No, because I delete the spam for 18 hours a day.  The spam this morning means only that I had to go to sleep ... cleaning it up now.

Look on the marketplace.  No transactions should be done through the forums here, and you are not permitted to advertise your MP for sale here without a vendor account.

Security / Re: Bitinstant questions
« on: February 20, 2013, 09:08 am »
so blockchain.info is the bitcoin client ,right ?

instead of sending the transfer to my e-mail i send it to my
SR wallet address ?

do i sign up with my BTC address thats associated with my SR account ?
i dont think thats right but i wanna be sure im not missing something obvious

i thought im supposed to have bit-instant  transfer BTC to a wallet i create on a client, like blockchain.info for ex.
then use the client to transfer funds to my SR BTC address

and then for every new transaction i create a new wallet with my client ,have bit instant transfer BTC to the new wallet
then again to my SR BTC address

does it matter what client i use ? bitcoin-qt ,armory,electrum,or blockchain.info

sorry for so many questions i do try to find these answers on my own, pouring through various FAQ's
i just dont want to risk my security because i went ahead and jumped the gun ,thinkin i knew what i was doing

Yes, have it sent to your wallet address.  Some people like to send the bitcoins to various other wallets before sending them to SR, but it's totally up to you.  SR has its own coin tumbler built in.

Yes, you can use your SR address -- there is nothing in it that tells people "HEY, THIS WALLET IS ON SR FOR DRUGS!" ... there is nothing that distinguishes it from non-SR wallets.  Again, whether or not you send directly here is up to you.

You do not need to create a new intermediary wallet for every new transaction.  The most important thing to do is get a new bitcoin deposit address on SR every once in awhile.

No, it doesn't matter which you use.  I like blockchain.info's wallet, personally.

Drug safety / Re: Hey mods... can we sticky some more threads?
« on: February 20, 2013, 08:58 am »
I've been turned down about it several times.  If there's a specific thread that we all agree should be stickied, then we can definitely ask.

Newbie discussion / Re: SPAM WARNING
« on: February 19, 2013, 11:06 pm »
Oh, I see - you posted "spam" inside a bunch of actual bitcoin spammer posts.  We delete the scammer's spam posts, so if you post in those threads, of course your posts will be removed as well.  Don't post in those threads - they are the entire reason for this 50-post rule and we delete the spammer accounts (and the threads they create) as soon as we notice them.
