As I've mentioned in other threads, if you were scammed by a scammer and remained in escrow, then yes, you would be receiving a refund.
but if you can freeze accounts  whats the problem  ???  he forced you to F.e  which was reported  so surely  the folk who Fe,d for him get a refund
what did you do with weird science and phds money (who forced F.e ) which I reported ?

 did Sr keep it ?

I don't know what happened to those vendors or their money.  However, I do know that if you choose to finalize early, you are no longer protected by SR or its escrow system.  So in those cases of FE'ing, no, you would not be receiving any kind of refund.  There is no way to "force" someone to FE -- so those who DO FE are doing so through their own volition.  They would not get a refund because they should be well-aware of the rule against FE'ing which is an out-of-escrow transaction that cannot be reversed by SR.

Not sure this is the best way to start advertising ... lol.

Even though you are a new member / new vendor, you can still start a thread here in the new member subforum and advertise your products, allow members to leave reviews, etc.

Hijacking this topic with a sort of related questions.
If I make a vendor review thread here, is it possible for a moderator to move this to the appropriate place after I have 50 posts?
I performed a quick search but the one similar question that I found was left unanswered.

Yes, one of us can definitely move it for you after you have 50 posts, although you may want to keep a thread here as well for your buyers who don't have 50 posts.  You can have a review thread here, and a review thread in the normal place.  That way, all of your buyers will have a place to share reviews regardless of their post count.

Do you take peoples money based on a conspiracy / accusation?

I don't take anything, because I am not in a position to make these decisions.  I do, however, know for a fact that SR Staff would not revoke a vendor's account based on a conspiracy - they investigate things and make a decision based on the findings.

Scout I respect buddy esp coz at least you tried to help me
but do you honestly think I didnt hit the report vendor button   many many times  yet you know and I know of small mistakes made by vendors and there gone yet these sellers are allowed to stay on   , so clearly its one rule for one and another for the rest of us

I feel like we're talking about several different issues here.  SamGiancana is pissed about one thing, and you, edar, are pissed about slightly-related things and are bringing them up in the midst of all of this, so it's getting a bit difficult to address these separate issues.

What sellers are you talking about?  And what vendor?  Are you talking about the other scammer vendors you mentioned earlier?  If those vendors are truly scamming people and the scammed members are reporting them correctly using the "report vendor" link on their profiles, then the staff should be looking into those reported vendors.

Is there a way to block certain IPs? I mean I know you can do that with other browsers but I wasn't sure if Tor had a way to do that. Blocking those bitcoin spammers would be ideal.

These messages weren't from the bitcoin spammers.  But, no, there's no way to block certain IPs due to the nature of Tor, as far as I understand it.

fourms wouldnt load that day...and i considered all what you said the day it happened. and accepted it. and got on...i meen yeah it was fucked up i guess (to try and skrew over zip-zap) i thought these nigguhs WERE fucked too....i was all like....fuck how can they take it back...they cant they cant...that defeats the purpose doesnt it? it still sucked to be told by a third party were keeping your money as OUR profit....from an out side point of view it is fucked up. from my point of view...meh o well

The forums were absolutely fine that day.  In fact there were several threads about the issue, including one multiple pages long where we were discussing all of it in real time as it was happening.

SR didn't say "we're keeping your money as OUR profit" -- the order you placed was with a vendor who was using escrow hedging, which is stated in your cart when you add an item.  You chose that vendor, and you chose to place an order with them.  If you had placed an order with a vendor NOT using escrow hedging, then you wouldn't have lost any money when the order was canceled.

Or, if you had simply not tried to "game the system" with the fake coins, then that too would have prevented your $50 loss.

Look, inigo himself has stated that there is way more to the story than that single out of escrow WU transaction.

These are the two I had seen.  The staff would base their decision on more than these two threads though.

2514
the "more to the story" is him accusing me of being past scammers.
I told them my affiliation with the teflon don and how he was my local coke supplier who scammed me, have messages in my account to show it still.

Regardless, ACCUSING me of being a past scammer isnt solid enough to steal my coins from me from me doing no scamming that u can show.
some bullshit about "i think i saw 1 report of someone saying you scammed them" get real man.

I don't know how else to explain this to you.  I do not have access to the information that inigo has access to.  So I don't / can't speak for what he found or what he is basing the decision on.  *I* personally have seen a thread accusing you of being a scammer -- that is completely separate from inigo's comments.  That was me, personally, saying I recalled seeing a thread here.  Obviously inigo / the staff have more proof.

So where were you sending the bitcoin from?  What wallet were you using, or what service?  If you're trying to deposit to your SR wallet from another non-SR wallet and it is showing the transaction as unconfirmed, that is an issue with the originating wallet / transaction ... not the SR wallet.

It's difficult because since they don't have any forum posts, they're harder to find.  If you post their usernames here, I will look into it.  I deleted a few of those accounts last night, but unfortunately even after deletion, they can simply re-register the same username again (or a different one) and continue forth with their scam.

One way to prevent these messages is to change your forum preferences so that they are set NOT to show when you are online.

Have you called their support phone number?  Have you posted in their thread on bitcointalk.org?  Have you sent a PM to Yankee (the owner of bitinstant) on bitcointalk.org?

it wasnt our fuck up. it was theres. my account said i had the money thus i thought i had won some sort of cosmic lottery. i thought they had to be real. i meen u cant fake a bitcoin. if zip-zap fucks up and gives me too much or my bank for that matter, yeah im still gonna spend it.

How often in life are you simply awarded truly free money?  Cosmic lottery my ass.  All you had to do that day was glance at the forums and you'd have seen this was an issue and people knew (well, most people knew) not to attempt to scam vendors by placing orders with the fake, non-existent coins.  You are trying to fuck over the system and then complaining when it doesn't work.  Life doesn't work that way and if this happened with your bank account, you can damn well bet that they wouldn't simply shrug their shoulders and let you keep a bunch of money that wasn't real or didn't belong to you ... and you can also damn well bet that they would do whatever was necessary to cancel any orders you had placed using that money that wasn't yours.

This was the first time I have banned a vendor for OOE without giving them a second chance, so I can understand why it seems unfair and harsh, but I can assure you all that there is much more to the story then that. I have enough concrete evidence to believe beyond a reasonable doubt that the SamGiancana account is owned by the same person who has owned multiple accounts that have been previously banned for scamming dozens if not hundreds of users, and who made off with a lot of people's money. We did what we did in order to deliver long over-due justice.
