Newbie discussion / Re: NEW BITINSTANT SCAM
« on: March 27, 2013, 04:51 am »
I don't understand people who sign up here just to beg for BTC and pretend like they've been here helping people.  You haven't.  You signed up just to ask for money.  Don't be surprised if/when people are doubtful - Bitinstant doesn't scam people, and if you are serious about missing coins after a transaction with them, then you would continue to pursue that rather than sign up here to beg for people's hard-earned BTC.  Sorry to be harsh, but these ploys are all the same and I don't want to see any of our LEGITIMATE new members getting scammed just because they are empathetic to your story.

So definitely send SR Support a message on the main site and know that they WILL get to it and you WILL see your coins.  :)
Scout,

How long does it usually take for the Support personnel to respond to a request? I haven't heard anything back yet.

They deal with issues as quickly as they can.  In most of these cases, you'll see your coins even if you don't receive a message back.

"Get over it!" ???  Seriously?  People were scammed out of their money and I'm glad you had better luck, but that doesn't give you the right to tell those who lost money to "get over it"!

I just edited the OP and a quote of the OP to remove his gmail address.

OP - you need to do a LOT more reading and research prior to purchasing anything here.  The fact that you posted your personal email address publicly in this forum is a giant, giant red flag that you are not ready to place an order yet.

Sorry scout if it came across that way, i was saying in a general statement all regarding how money switches hands so quickly but very slowly to the vendor sending product. Hoping when i get home in 10 more hours this will be resolved.

I hope so too!  Rest assured that I've been in touch with the admin and these are just some site-wide delays but they WILL be addressed and you WILL receive the coins.  :)

It's always scary to see the coin tumbler in action for the first time!  hehe.  Rest assured though, that is all it is.  As for not having receiving the deposit to your SR wallet yet, that is just due to site-wide delays.  So definitely send SR Support a message on the main site and know that they WILL get to it and you WILL see your coins.  :)

No, they aren't lost.  All you need to do is send a message to SR Support on the main site and they will get to it as soon as they are able.

fake feedback or getting someone to put feedback is a banning offence  ...is it not   Scout  ???

Yes, as you know personally, if a vendor manipulates his own feedback by using his buyer account to purchase from his own vendor account in order to leave fake feedback, yes, they will be banned.  But edar, your posts in these threads make it clear you are on a crusade, and it's not helping anything.  SR staff / support will look into the issues and make a decision on a case-by-case basis.

Having some trouble accessing the site as well, but I'm sure it's because everyone else is trying as well.  I'm able to get on just long enough to check or send a message, and then it goes down for me again.  Lots of traffic!

Go to blockchain.info and enter your btc deposit address in the search field.  It should then show a page that shows a green transaction coming into the address.

Scout,

Thanks for the reply. I did that and it does show that for yesterday, but then today it shows my address on the left and a red arrow and two other BTC addresses on the right. I never saw the bitcoins in my account and never authorized any transfer to other accounts, so I'm seriously confused and concerned.

Have you already contacted support?  Also, the part you see in red is just proof of the built-in bitcoin tumbler here at SR -- it's just showing that it is working correctly and tumbling the coins before they show up in your wallet in order to increase anonymity (or at least break the chain).

No need to be worried about that part - that's all you're seeing with the red arrow to two other BTC addresses.  :)
