Understand something.  We answer these same questions about 20 times a day.  There is a thread stickied in this section that warns about the phishing issues on the hidden wiki.  There are hundreds of threads where this is mentioned.  It would have taken you 2 seconds to find this information ... because the information is plastered EVERYWHERE here to warn people against using those links!

You're putting words in my mouth.  My point was that it is frustrating when we spend so much effort trying to warn people about these scams and then someone comes along asking what has already been addressed many, many times - samesamebutdifferent was understandably frustrated.  It's like you didn't bother to even try to find the answer on your own.  Just trying to explain why samesamebutdifferent responded that way.

Yeah, I was coming to update the thread and suggest that if you're having trouble logging in, you may just need to restart tor.

I think its absolute bs that SR does not monitor and catch these types of scams farther.  First time I have been disappointed in the road, smh!

Seriously?  How would the small staff of SR monitor and catch scams before they happen?  That is asking the impossible.  This is an anonymous marketplace which is open to anyone and everyone.  The staff is not psychic - they don't know what some anonymous individual is going to do or say until they do or say it!  They can't prevent scammers from scamming via the message system.  They put the escrow system in place in order to protect vendors and buyers alike.  They investigate scam claims on a daily basis and take care of those accounts as quickly as they are able to identify them as scammers.  Beyond that, everyone is responsible for keeping themselves safe too.

Yeah, likewise - and I use a Live CD on a computer only for SR ... so it can't be phishing or malware.

The usual instruction is to create a new marketplace account and send SR Support a message from the new account about getting your password reset.

I was locked out of my account for about 24+ hours last week - same thing except it kept giving me "Login failed" even though I had been logged in just fine a few hours prior!

So, I won't tell you to retype your password or anything like that.

Someone else on the forums is having the same issue, so I'm guessing it isn't just you.  I'll send DPR a message and let him know this is happening.

is it only possible to transfer off if you are a vendor?  Or is there something I missed?

Anyone can transfer their bitcoins off of SR.
