Damn, I hate these situations.  I've been scammed here before too, so I know how it feels.  I'm trying to help warn Vendor Support as early as possible when possible scams pop up -- and I know that inigo is always on the ball to investigate and take care of it as soon as he has enough proof. 

Everyone who spoke up about this vendor and their suspicions is AWESOME.  It's things like that that help us catch these things relatively early on, though I'm so sorry for those who were scammed.  Unfortunately, before Vendor Support or the staff can ban a vendor, they need actual proof that they are scamming .... otherwise, competitors could submit fake reports just to damage each other's business.  So the staff does have to do some investigating and does need actual proof of a scam, rather than speculation ... which is why it's almost impossible to stop a scam before it starts.

Don't let this ruin your time here though - there are still so many good, reputable vendors here who go out of their way to make sure each and every customer is happy and taken care of.

I have changed my ratings to 1/5 on both orders placed. Haven't recevied either, one was a pound of bud and one was some BHO. Sucks. I have been putting thousands through Silk Road since I've been a member and if I don't get part of my money back I will likely deactivate my membership and not return. Was nice meeting all of you and good luck with your future endeavors.

I take it this means you finalized early against all warnings otherwise?  If so, there's nothing SR can do to get your money back.  The escrow system is in place for your protection in these types of situations, and SR makes it very clear that if you do not stay within that system, they cannot do anything to recover your funds.

I'm sorry that you were scammed.  :-\

Hopefully, they'll have enough evidence to ban the guy.

Popping in to let you know that the staff is aware of the possibility of this guy being a scammer -- as soon as they can be sure, they'll take care of it.  In the meantime, it goes without saying but I'll say it anyway: DO NOT FE FOR THIS VENDOR.

Yeah, I just sent inigo another message about all of the reports of FE'ing and still not receiving anything.  I let them know about the concerns last week as well, and I know he's keeping an eye on the situation.

I too am curious why SR hasn't frozen the vendors account to prevent anymore scamming.

If any mod is paying attention, PLEASE do something to stop this scam from expanding.

SR may still get their cut, but they are going to lose customers who get burned on their first order and decide they would rather not take the risk here at all.

There always has to be some cock sucker that comes along and ruins a good thing.

There's nothing we can do on our end - we're moderators on the forum but we have no power on the main site.  I've already reported this guy several times so if his account is still active, it is only due to SR Staff not yet having the proof they need to ban his account.

Be very careful - SR does not provide support for transactions involving the purchase of bitcoins.  This means that if you are scammed, there is no way for SR to help you.  So make sure you're being careful.
