Newbie discussion / Re: WHILE MIMM IS DOWN PLEASE ORDER FROM HERE!
« on: April 15, 2013, 03:37 am »
Listings are down and we don't know why yet .. just a side link till we sort it out guys!
I'm looking at them right now???? I'm thinking scam. If this guy doesn't defend himself quick we need to start reporting the account quickly so it gets banned before anyone orders.

Chaos

Agreed.

If a vendor is banned, their vendor profile gets deleted ... so that is not the case here.  What is going on?  Why would someone purchase a new vendor account just because there are no active listings on their other account?  None of this makes sense and it sounds sketchy as hell.

No, SR is not being hacked.  You have a certain number of BTC in your account - the value of that BTC fluctuates with the market which, yes, has been fluctuating pretty wildly recently.

Here is MIMM's vendor page, which, as you can see, is not "down" :

So, OP, can you please explain what you're referring to here?  Otherwise, this is looking like a scam attempt.

Yep, I've seen several scams involving impostors.  Then again, I'm also assuming that if the vendor's page is down, there is a good reason for that - investigating scam reports, etc.

Might be a good time to remind people who might not already know -- even if you hear about a product on SR and see that the person is a vendor here, if you place your order elsewhere (like on the vendor's personal website or via email or whatever else) SR will not be able to do anything to help you if you have an issue or are scammed.  Just something to keep in mind.  :)

You should message inigo.

Are you just talking about the fact that SR increased the decimal places?

Silk Road discussion / Re: SR Resolution System
« on: April 15, 2013, 02:29 am »
The escrow system IS for protection.  If the vendor has scammed those who did finalize early, then of course he's going to try to say whatever he can to try to make you FE as well.  It is absolutely NOT true that resolution favors the vendor ... ESPECIALLY if that vendor has a track record of FE orders disappearing before reaching the buyer.

Stay in escrow - do not FE just because this asshole is trying to scary you into it.

Review the forums and look up and do your research on gotmilk if u have herd that.. NEVER EVER FE!!!

Scammer, dont FE?

First off we do nto require FE, second you guys suck. Frankly we are sick of slander. If anyone can prove we scammed them then come to the table.

You see our reviews the shipments of thousands of tabs, yet some punk orders 10 rivotril claims we are scammers.

You guys are what are wrong with the Silk Road community and Admin should start enforcing slander.

We don't remove posts unless they are scams, spam, or endanger someone.

I understood that before placing the order. So, is that why they are gone then. that what you mentioned violates the terms of service?

I don't know the exact reason or what was found when Staff investigated - but I do know that using SR but then redirecting sales to his own site in order to avoid paying vendor fees is ABSOLUTELY against the rules.

So should I start down the path of threatening  editing my feedback / giving them a bad review on here? I just am wondering if this seems like a trail of B.S. to keep me from not doing anything. Or if this just happens a lot? Should I ask for a refund? I just kind of need advice of what to message him after its been a full 3 days and no reply. Thanks!

I wouldn't recommend threatening the vendor, but I would recommend letting him know that you haven't received anything and so you will be editing your feedback to reflect that fact.  Just state it calmly without threatening the vendor - there's a better chance they'll want to make it right if you don't jump immediately to threatening him.

Also, there's not a lot anyone can do for you since you finalized early.  Even if they scam you, there's no way to get your money back because you didn't stay in escrow.

Off topic / Re: Question about SR structure
« on: April 14, 2013, 10:07 pm »
You can sell non-drug items as long as they aren't intended to harm others.  That means you cannot sell credit card numbers, stolen identities, hacked paypal accounts, etc.

Give him bad feedback. Drop it down to one see how he likes it. He has your money and feedback is a direct response to your experience with the dude. Message him about it and wait at least a day to actually set it.  I see that as a good way to resolution before getting sr involved. But if you FEd, they might not be able to do much, since you waived escrow rights.

Thanks for pointing out that the OP finalized early - I missed that piece of info when I initially read the post.  You're exactly right - OP needs to change his feedback, and won't be able to do much other than deal with the vendor directly because finalizing early means SR can't do anything to refund the btc.
