Newbie discussion / Re: usb bootable darknet machine?
« on: April 18, 2013, 04:45 pm »
There's no reason to buy that kind of thing here or anywhere else -- make it yourself.  Buy a usb and install Tails on it, and use TrueCrypt for hidden volume encryption of the usb and/or any sensitive info.

Buying it "premade" from anyone is risky because you can't know for sure what they put on it.  It's not safe.  There are tons of guides available, as ixcc mentioned, and it would be FAR safer to make one yourself.

I was gonna say, I hope you at least used a burner phone to call these broads.

So you had to pay for the numbers, and then also pay the girl?

I highly doubt people who purchase that listing are going to know automatically to use a burner phone.  You might have been smart enough to do that, but there are going to be a LOT of people who don't use a burner.  Enough people already post each day about using SR through safari on their iPhones with no protection ... I worry this could end badly if LE were really desperate for info.

Who knows.

I've been here long enough to have come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as being TOO cautious!

Still, congrats on getting laid - ain't nothing wrong with that! :D

This seems like an incredibly easy way to get buyer info .... if LE got involved at any step, it'd be quite easy.

Sounds incredibly risky .... what if the vendor is LE?  They get your general location, send you the phone numbers, you call those numbers, and what if those "hookers" are LE?

1550
No, it should not be possible to change your username or for there to be two users with the same username.  However, from your post, I can't quite understand what's going on.  It sounds like someone accessed your account to send messages to a vendor?

You'll need to get in touch with SR Support on the main site - they're the only ones who can look into account issues there.

I reported him and sent him a insulting message about being a peasant thieving bastard.

This made me laugh.

Well, I contacted Vendor Support again about why this vendor hadn't been banned ... the response was that they're keeping a close eye on it.

Reported.

It's a shame to see you post this after your other thread claimed the exact opposite and would have at least allowed buyers to understand what they were getting into.  I'm glad you were able to work it out with the vendor, but I'm sad to see that you've deleted your initial honest thread.

1555
Yes, it is possible.  I've had two buyer accounts and have never finalized early for any order.

Glad it arrived!  :)  I'll lock the thread as resolved.

I apologize too if my bs radar misbehaved there.  You have to understand we see this kind of thing pulled as a scam all too often.

Kingpinirl is right - moneypak scams are rampant here (and everywhere else on the web!) so your best bet would be to find a more reputable, legitimate way to buy bitcoins.

1559
Were you phished?  Have you ever had to login from a page that asked for your PIN?

I can't think of any other reason you would be missing btc like that!  As much as I know you hate hearing this, you'll need to get in touch with SR Support and have them figure out what's going on.  If I could help more, I would, but we don't have any special permissions over on the main site to look into things like this.

Guys, not every doctor feels the same about prescribing meds.  A good portion of them are downright afraid of the DEA.  They don't just hand out the scripts to anybody.

This is true for general practitioners, but I would think that someone with small cell cancer would not have a problem finding a doctor willing to prescribe whatever it takes to make the pain more bearable.

On a side note, something about the OP's posts make me feel like they're much more tech-savvy than they let on.  They knew about the 50 post rule, they knew about Moneypaks, etc.  ... not saying they're lying about the cancer at all, but I would urge caution here as something doesn't quite add up.  Then again, maybe that's just me being suspicious after being here for a year!
