Okay.  Tell me if this picture sounds plausible:  dude made rich from selling drugs wears camo, paints his face, and spends his days popping out from various shadowy locales to chase people down the street while yelling about wartime and the taste of uncooked meat and human jugulars .... all the while offering 2 BTC to anyone who will cheer for his bath-salt-inspired rampages.

colorblack -- I agree, and am not sure I'd want his BTC since they'd likely be dressed in girly outfits made of human skin.

The whole situation is sketchy.  I've seen now at least three different email addresses given by AstonMarteen ... and claims of an ex-partner who is angry ... and now these users who see that he's giving away 2 BTC to people who will side with him ...

Just so everyone knows - though it should be obvious - not everyone with PTSD from wartime acts like this vendor does.  PTSD from war doesn't usually cause people to develop a penchant for jugular-gnawing and raw-meat-eating and shooting people in the back of the head.  That is the result of something entirely unrelated to wartime / PTSD!

His stories are entertaining to imagine though.

Perhaps it'd be easier to take you seriously and feel sympathy for you if your vendor feedback didn't include multiple reports of scamming people.  :-\

1009
also, make sure that when you have these types of experiences, you use that "report this vendor" link on the vendor's profile.  the more people that report a vendor, the sooner it will get looked at.

I've been passing all of this info along to Vendor Support / SR Staff.  Right now they are probably still busy with the attacks and dealing with whatever issues arose during the unreliable past week ... but I have every faith that as soon as they are able to, they will look into this and take care of it if they are able to find proof of scamming.

In the meantime, DO NOT FINALIZE EARLY.

You must be psychic!  ;)

1012
What the hell?  So you're claiming someone brute forced your password and your PIN and stole your bitcoins .... and now you'd like some donations?

From customer support?

Really?

1013
Yep, this glitch was caused by some of the new securities measures taken to fight back against the attackers.  It should be fixed within the next day or two for everyone.

There is much more to the story.  For example, he seems not to remember what he has posted on his own vendor profile, nor what feedback has been left.

There is *NO* message/feedback pertaining to ANY kind of "blackmai" or anything else of a sily message on my vendor page what so ever. Not even one. Go look yourself.

I expected more from Scout before demanding I explain something that doesn't exist on my vendor page. Will be a negative mark in your file, soldier. Check my page, and then come back and here apologize if said "message" is not on there. (Which it is most certainly not!)

??  This is what I'm referring to, which does indeed exist on his vendor profile:

So there will be no apology - because it most certainly is there.

Also, in his profile, he REPOSTS THE MESSAGE and claims that it was left by an angry ex-partner ... but he hasn't mentioned that at all in his posts in that thread.  Why?  I mean, if that were the case, it would certainly explain things thread ... so why no mention of it?

Look, whatever is going on, it isn't as simple as the OP of this thread makes it out to be.

OP, are you one of the many whom AstonMarteen sent 2 BTC for supporting him in that thread?  Or perhaps you're posting this in hopes that he will extend that offer to you as well since he is currently sending 2 BTC to all who take his side?

Hey mate, mine auto-log'd me off as well...

It did let me sign back in with no problems though.

Might be because of the new security being implemented for the DoS attacks.

Yep, that is exactly the reason.

It's a glitch but should be resolved soon.  The admins are aware of it.

1019
You say all of this and welcome an investigation, but you clearly encourage buyers to contact you OUTSIDE of SR.  Your signature states:

"astonmarteen@tormail.org

(WE PREFER TORMAIL TO PM. Please Privnote ANY sensitive information for YOUR security)"

So all of these invitations for admin to check your messages are kind of useless when you know full well that your dealings with this particular individual were completed entirely offsite AT YOUR OWN SUGGESTION.

Only during the site being down. Secondly, nobody forces anyone to deal outside of SR. They take that choice on their own risk and peril. No?

Yes, they do, but I'm saying that in this case, because the deal was outside of SR, your invitation to check your messages isn't really going to prove anything one way or the other.

Any idea why the exact same blackmail message was posted by another buyer in their feedback for you on your vendor page?

Are you suggestion someone brute forced your account password AND your PIN?
