Yep, that's why I was asking ... on the forums, you can go through and delete your posts one by one and then delete your account ... you'd have left no record other than in any posts where you've been quoted.  On the main site though, the message history, account history, etc. all needs to be kept in case of possible issues.  Also, as Libertas noted, if people could simply delete their SR accounts, the amount of scamming would increase exponentially!

Are you asking about accounts on the main SR site itself, or forum accounts?

I would say it's pretty safe to assume that you were, indeed, scammed.  Unfortunately, SR can't offer support for these kinds of transactions because by their very nature they take place outside of the escrow system. 

What you CAN still do is make sure to leave feedback to warn others, and consider either changing the title of your thread here or starting a new one to help warn others about this vendor's scamming.

Thanks for clarifying, Libertas.  I was under the same impression re: removing auto-finalization from a user's record and agree that SR Support would not consider this an exceptional circumstance.
