Again, I'm sorry that this happened.  :\

I wonder if we should change the title of this thread to warn people that Kwick Ficks is a scammer?

one day we will live in a world absent of skimmers.

This guy took me for $440, buddy. @Scout; we can't edit feedback because we have to put the MP numbers in the Shipping info. He gets the shipping info and then cancels the transaction so we can't leave feedback .

crafty son of a bitch!  well, as i mentioned in your thread, i'm hoping this will be enough to prove that he is scamming people, and that he will be banned as a result.

Customer support / Re: First Deposit To SR Account/ Not Funded

Also: the reason I advised you not to worry is because if you sent the bitcoins to a valid SR wallet, then they WILL be credited to your account.  No one who has sent them to their correct address has ever simply "lost" the bitcoins.  Either you sent them to the correct address and will receive them (with the help of support), or they were sent to the wrong address.  I was simply trying to reassure you that, barring having sent them to a non-SR address, you WILL receive your bitcoins.

Well, Mr.B08 had to wait over 72 hours before his ticket got worked. That isn't 48. Then, from what he tells me, the response he got was "you sent your money to an address that is not a SR address." So basically, he is SOL. He lost his money so don't tell me to relax. I am pissed. If you guys are having problems this bad....warn people before we try to send our money to a system that is BROKEN. Sure..it was just 50 bucks, but it was MY 50 bucks and I expect things to work as I am told they will.

So far, I've been told "don't worry..it's the tumbler" and don't worry your money will show up soon. Don't tell me to relax when I keep getting patronizing remarks and my money is still MIA.

One of two things is happening here. I have fucked up somewhere along the way and my money is gone (unlikely but admittedly a remote possibility) or SR is having problems they're not forthcoming about, which I find to be the more likely scenario.

I responded to your PM and was in no way patronizing you.  The fact remains that this is not currently a widespread issue - it is isolated, and as you yourself mentioned, the OP never received the btc because he accidentally sent his bitcoin to a non-SR bitcoin address.

SR is NOT having problems, so there's nothing to warn people about.  The system is not broken.  The OP's issue was due to a mistake on his part, or using the btc address of a phishing site.  Either way, it was not an issue with SR as they looked into it and found that the btc was sent to a wallet not belonging to the site.

If SR were having issues, there would be more people reporting it and an announcement would be made as soon as possible.  But that's not the case.

The OP lost his money because unfortunately he sent it to a non-SR wallet somewhere.

okay, i don't want to scare you ... but, Spongebob, i think your suspicions are true: you may have been skimmed.  :( :(

is there a link you can click to report her skimming you?

Another buyer came forward to report being scammed by this vendor.  I passed the info along to staff, so I would seriously hope this now qualifies as "enough" for them to shut down the asshole's account.

How does FE work?

Typically the person would release money and then come to cry on forum when they get nothing for it after a week or two. Then I imagine the person walks around the house saying "I fucked up! I can't believe I was that stupid to give a stranger cash before I saw the product! I wouldn't even do that for someone I did know! I'm an Idiot, Tina eat your meat" for a few days to months depending on the amount.

and then they mourn the fact that many kittens were killed upon the buyer's releasing funds from escrow before receiving the order!

k glad to hear i probably get all my money back  only thing now im concerned about is my perfect record  :-\

Total transactions: 50
Total spent: ฿282.57
Refund rate: 0%
Auto-finalize rate: 0%
Member for: 1 year

but fuck it there are worst things  :P

in these cases, the refund does NOT count against you.  :)

How depressing.

Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone, though.  I've gone ahead and submitted reports on SR about the vendor and his listing.

I hate having to do that.  I'm never the type to complain or get anybody in trouble, but it's my money and I feel like I just threw it down the toilet.

I'm so sorry that you were scammed.  :(  But it's good of you to report the vendor any way so hopefully others will be warned (and the vendor will be banned).  Did you also edit your feedback on the transaction to reflect that you were scammed?

719
(If anyone is reading this post, do you realise that we still have an incorrect vendor's rating to fix up? And it has been inaccurate for months now? And reported time and again and ignore? THANKS!!!)

Don't worry, we'll get around to it one of these days.

You understand that forum moderators are not the people who fix things on SR, right?  We pass the information along to the staff and they are the ones who then address those issues.  Beyond bringing the issues to their attention, there's nothing we can do on our end of things so your criticism is a little unwarranted.  :-\

We'll pass it up the chain and hopefully someone will take care of it before next year.

***fixed :)

we're usually much pushier than that.  :P

I was trying to contact him to give him the benefit of the doubt.  Some optimistic part of me is hoping he'll reply and say, "Oh, oops!  Here are your BTC!"  and then all will be forgiven...

That would be nice indeed!  I don't think it'll happen though, because someone else has been waiting several days and has received absolutely nothing in spite of his MP being cashed immediately by the vendor.
