Customer support / Re: empty box....what do i do
« on: May 15, 2013, 05:28 am »
The vendor has done this to other buyers as well?  What vendor is it?

Your best option at this point would be to take it to resolution, state your case clearly, and request a refund.  Better to do this especially when the vendor is being a dick.

DO NOT FINALIZE until you have received the order and are happy with it.  If you haven't received it yet and since the vendor is claiming it was delivered (and using that as an excuse to pressure you about finalizing early), you may eventually want to click on "resolve" and send it to the resolution center BEFORE it autofinalizes.

Glad to hear it's working better now, Meerkovo!  It's never bad to ask about it when you have concerns or questions!

Its been one day and you expect your package already?

One month and a day.  :D

So i ordered a product from La Fuente for .60 after shippping on April 14, 2013, 6:40 pm UTC  And still haven't received the package. The vendor has continuously ignored my messages and required FE for purchase as his vendor page states. So what do i do? Is there no way for me to get my money back? I have completed a few other transactions already with no problem.

Unfortunately, no, if you finalized early, there is nothing that SR Support can do for you.  This is why we all say over and over again that you should NEVER FINALIZE EARLY.  The escrow system is in place for your protection, and there is nothing forcing you to purchase from a vendor who "requires" FE.  I'm sorry that you were scammed, but it's impossible to overstate the importance of remaining in escrow until you have received the order and are happy with it.

Rumor mill / Re: TheTopShelf Reveiw Thread

Would SR staff consider refunding the transaction fees taken from the giant scammer to the customers who got screwed?  I imagine the answer is no, but I'm just throwing it out there because it is not a ridiculous idea.  I know escrow keeps us safe, and we fucked up 100%, but SR has taken in tens of millions of dollars over the years and did act as an intermediary in a drug deal gone wrong.

It actually IS a ridiculous idea when you have made the decision to leave the protection of the escrow system, knowing the risks, and then expect to still reap its benefits?  Furthermore, these FE scammers don't just leave the btc sitting in their SR wallet.  They know they are scamming people, and they know they will be shut down eventually, so they usually have the btc sent off to a non-SR wallet as quickly as they receive the funds.

I was having the problem earlier today where the Tor project start page wouldn't load for me either.  I was still able to get onto other urls, but that page just wouldn't connect.  There is a Tor Browser Bundle update that came out in the last 24 hours, and upgrading to it got rid of the problem for me.

I tried for months, this "inigo" character  may be dead.

inigo is not dead.  he did, however, change the instruction so that now you are to send your Vendor Roundtable request to Vendor Support on SR (rather than his account here on the forums):

i was about to weep.

it was only a couple days for me. shouldn't be long.

There is no SR Vendor tag on your account ...

Maybe still a newb question but how does and when does the SR Vendor tag will for example under your name at the forums? Just asking so when good and ready want my page to look as presentable as it can be.

I feel like total newb for asking to be honest...

Please see the wiki about this:  http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/wiki/index.php?title=Vendor_roundtable

Quote from: wiki
The Vendor roundtable is a private message board on the Silk Road forum for vendors to discuss issues in private. To qualify for access to the board, you must meet the following requirements:

You must have received a bond refund.
Your forum username must be identical to your vendor username
You must keep a link to your vendor page in your forum signature

When you've met these criteria, message Vendor Support and they will give you access.

Newbie discussion / Re: Browsing from .to
« on: May 15, 2013, 04:22 am »
If you aren't using Tor, then browsing using the .to proxy is incredibly risky.  .to is a proxy letting you access Tor sites without the use of Tor.  Whoever runs that proxy has access to your IP and other information.  The .to site itself issues the following warning:

Quote from: onion.to
By using this service instead of connecting directly to the Tor network you are trading off security and anonymity for convenience. Know that we can identify the IP of visitors using this service (but chooses not to). We strongly recommended to access Tor Hidden Services directly using the Tor Browser Bundle to increase your security and anonymity.

You should be using the Tor Browser Bundle itself and not messing with this .to proxy.

You will need to get in touch with SR Support here:  http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/messages/send_message/104259

His vending privileges have been disabled until SR has completed their investigation into claims of him scamming people.
