There are a lot of things about doing time in prison that are harder than learning PGP.

Like cock.

Shipping / Re: Marijuana - No visibilty stealth
« on: May 18, 2013, 04:08 am »
Please do not post packaging details.  Saying there was "no visibility stealth" is enough - no need to reveal the vendor's packaging.

Doing more than 1 $500 transaction (or 2 $500 transactions AT THE MOST) in a 24 hour period is asking for issues with their fraud filter.  The second transaction will get "stuck" in it.

I was afraid of that. There are lots of other good deals for blotters and mol that I'm quite happy about, hopefully they will be kin d enough to give me a shot, and eventually I can buy from costco. I do not use PGP either. Can they tell/might that be a possible factor?
Thank you for the info. :)

May I ask why you don't use PGP?

I encourage you to learn it - for your own safety.  The SR wiki is a good resource to utilize:

Rumor mill / Re: Vendors Beware of decoyf Details inside.
« on: May 18, 2013, 03:49 am »
There may or may not have been a problem with his order am I not sure as I do not keep records. I will say though he raised a dispute before even bothering to send me a message. In the past anyone who did not receive the items I re-shipped it out to them via express and doubled the original order in a couple cases I gave as much as 10x the order. This guy has no respect for vendors on here and doesn't even give the decency to write a message to have it resolved before raising a dispute. Just a fair warning. Thanks for reading.

I of course don't know the specific details of your dealings with this buyer, but to be fair, the wiki advises people to take the order to resolution if they don't receive it.  The wiki does not advise buyers to message the vendor first.  In most cases when a buyer doesn't receive an order, messaging the vendor privately won't achieve anything more than frustration, so it's advised they deal with these situations in the resolution center and keep all communication about the order there.

Newbie discussion / Re: Counterfeit money
« on: May 18, 2013, 03:46 am »
Counterfeit money is a "restricted item".
It's classified as something that could be used to defraud a person - not allowed at SR.

Taken from the SR seller's guide..

***

Do not list anything who's purpose is to harm or defraud, such as stolen items or info, stolen credit cards, counterfeit currency, personal info... cont.

***

This.  Counterfeit money is one of the VERY few prohibited items on SR.

Since you already finalized, no, there's nothing that SR can do for you.  Your only option at this point is to try to work it out with the vendor.

Hey scount, lock this muhfucka down??

All the other threads regarding this article have been edited at mine, or another hero members request.

Im not trying to play boss man here, but ive been specifically asked to help keep this under wraps and out of our forums as much as possible. Thanks you.

Specifically asked to keep it under wraps and out of the forum?  By whom?  I haven't heard anything of the sort from DPR or inigo or SSBD.

It would help if you mentioned the vendor so we could tell you whether or not they disappeared (ie were banned).

475
This person is no longer a vendor here.

This has nothing to do with Bitinstant .... the account(s) were seized because they weren't registered with Fincen as a MSB and didn't notify Wells Fargo about their MSB activity either.

But deleting the thread would be censorship!

Well, I'm all for the judicious application of censorship, I'm just honest about it.

The people who claim to be against censorship are almost universally hypocrites, because they have no problem with deleting spam, scam posts, or locking up mere consumers of CP (but lets not get on that topic).

Sure, delete the thread, but the vendor should make the buyers aware that they may be targets of LE investigations now. The vendor should be able to figure out which of his buyers they are.

astor,

I wasn't talking about deleting the thread AT ALL!  I was trying to protect the vendor from being publicly identified on the forums by saying people shouldn't speculate about which vendor it was, but I was wrong and you were right.

I'm not deleting the thread - I never said I was going to!

ack.  i know which vendor this was ...

i'd encourage everyone NOT to speculate publicly as it doesn't seem to have been tied to SR yet (though now it is since LE reads the forums) ... you can still help protect the vendor in question by NOT publicly guessing who it was.

Why? Obviously (or at least hopefully) the vendor is going to change their shipping method now, and LE knows nothing more about the vendor than what they could have discovered by ordering from them (the city they ship from).

Also, it took me all of three minutes to look through the LSD listings and figure out it must be one of three vendors.

This is more dangerous for the buyers because of the main reason that people use fake addresses. LE knows that some people use a fake number that is close to their real address, hoping the the mailman will recognize the mistake and put it in their box.

LE can probably pretty easily figure out who the buyers of those returned envelopes are. If I was them, I'd clean house.

I just meant it might be better not to announce which vendor it was ... but you're right.

Nice one scout, I have already reported him using the 'report this vendor' tab, but you doing it also will be good

Awesome!  Thank you for putting this post together - it helps to be able to refer to the facts when they're all presented in a single post!  :)

Customer support / Re: Bitcoins not showing on SR
« on: May 17, 2013, 08:01 pm »
Yes, that's what it sounds like to me.  If it isn't showing up on blockchain, then it was never sent in the first place.

Coins sent to your old address will, I believe, still eventually arrive in your wallet since it was an address belonging to you (and your account) ... so that's not so much of an issue as getting Bitinstant to actually send the coins you paid for.

No, do not provide a different address to bitinstant - they won't send the coins to a different address, and that would really just confuse the situation.

You'll just need to talk to bitinstant support, provide them with a link to the blockchain page that shows there has been no transaction, and then once they have actually sent the coins and it shows on blockchain, THEN you can address the issue with SR Support to make sure your coins will still arrive in your account even though you've since changed addresses.

:)
