I'm quite confused by the story as well.

Wow.  No clue.  I'll pass it up to them so they can look into it.

You'll need to create a new account on SR and then from that account, send a message to SR Support with the last address you deposited bitcoins to, and any other information that can help SR staff verify that the account in question does indeed belong to you.

Here is a link to SR Support:

No one can tell you that without knowing what your set up was.  For instance, were you using Tor?  Were you using Tails?  Were you using encryption?  What kind of security were you using?

That is a very well-known scam.  Do not fall for it.

It could have been that, for whatever reason, it didn't include a transaction fee ... in which case it can take forever for the transaction to confirm on the network.

The fact that it shows as unconfirmed means that it is not an issue on SR's end, but rather on the end of whatever wallet you are sending from.  If you want me to double check on it for you, you can PM me the BTC address you sent them to so I can just check it out on blockchain.info for you.

For protection.  PGP helps you encrypt your sensitive information (like your address), and escrow protects your funds until you have received & are happy with your order.  FE = finalizing early = releasing the funds to your vendor before you've received the order ... this is something you should NOT do.

Please take some time and read the SR wiki - it will help answer all of your questions:

Sorry, no, you still need to wait the 72 hours and then reset it.  The wait period is for your protection.

386
Yeah, I wanted to check back in on you, DB718 -- was astor able to help you get things sorted?

387
If it makes you nervous, then why not avoid any possible issues and use a legitimate, well-established bitcoin business like Bitinstant or Blue Sky Traders?

If that bitcointalk forum is the only way to contact them then it's a problem. It won't let you connect via TOR and I have been having problems with obfuscated bridges lately.

It's not the only way to contact them.  As another poster already mentioned, they have a support page on their .onion site:

SR doesn't offer support for bitcoin transactions, so there's not going to be anything for them to "resolve" because they will point you to the wiki and tell you that there's nothing they can do.

No, there's no way to delete your SR account.  You can certainly start a new one though.
