Encryption does not protect anyone if its decrypted version is freely available off the internet.

So if the database these forums store their data too was encrypted, it would be pointless, as it would need to be decrypted to be made available for anyone to read, or scrape.

So the answer is no, The SR forums are not encrypted, neither is any public forums. As someone said earlier, You should take encryption as a personal responsibility.

The $30K Missing thread was due to a vendor breaking the rules and his account being demoted. SR made no money out of it, and lost out on the fees.

If a vendor brakes the rules, and gets demoted, all their products that are not marked shipped gets refunded to the buyer. This is for the buyers protection. 

We want to protect buyers from a Tony76 type scam. The rules are there for a reason.

Cheers admins. My only advice is try to have some communication earlier. i am totally satisfied don't get me wrong...but would have loved to hear something encouraging much earlier in the day.

Admin staff are doing a lot of things that will eventually be automated, manually. This is causing delays as they are busier than a one armed bricklayer in Iraq. This will be fixed in future updates, but for the time being everyone just needs to be patient

SR is improving every single day, even if you don't notice it, a lot of things are happening in the background.

I spoke to admin. All escrow should be released within an hour.

DPR has said that he will be releasing some handy sort features in future upgrades. More sort options than were offered on the original SR

Unfortunately there is no ETA on these updates.

Rome wasnt built in a day. And then ceased by the feds. and rebuilt in another day.

We have a very strict freedom of speech rules on SR. But there seems to be one individual who keeps spamming the forums, trying to stir up the forums.

While he fails everytime, Im getting sick of his constant spam. From now on please put all discussion of freedom of speech in here.

I will merge all threads on the same topic into this thread.
