Title: New Vendor Needs Advice on Dealing with a Problem Buyer
Post by: Tralpaz on September 29, 2013, 09:42 pm
I am a new vendor (2 weeks) and pride myself on treating buyers the way I like to be treated.  I've been a buyer for 2 years and went through the growing pains of FE and getting ripped off but, I've had over 50 buyer  transactions for $5000 that have been flawless.  As a seller I have had 30 flawless transactions in two weeks until now.

Recently I have had my first problems customer.  He/She ordered 8 pills and claimed 2 were damaged/crushed at delivery.  They are refusing to finalize until I replace the damaged pills. (as if they threw away the ones that were broken).  Then they complained that I was not responsive enough because I didn't ship replacements the same day they told me about the problem.  I was willing to send them replacements but after all the complaining and threatening to give bad feed back I have had enough.  I don't need this head ache for $15.

After getting frustrated I told them I would send replacements but only if they finalized because they got what they ordered.  I got a full page assault from them about how horrible I was and on and on.  I've had it with this a$$hole.  I will still refund 25% for the damage I was not responsible for but I do not want this buyer to do the same thing to any other vendor.  I don't want his/her  unrealistic expectations of customer service to tarnish my spotless reputation either.

This buyer deserves to be blacklisted.  How do I identify this person to other vendors so they don't have to go through the same BS ripoff that this jerk is pulling on me?   I've heard of a buyer blacklist but I can't find it.  How do I keep his/her unreasonable feedback from blemishing my 5.0 record?  How do I initiate resolution.  As a buyer I have a resolve option prior to finalization.  I just want to give this jerk a 25% refund and never hear or think about it again.

Life's too short to deal with these types of people.

Vending does test your patience. If what you describe is an accurate description of events I would if I were you just refund the 25% and get your forum account upgraded to vendor status and get that buyer added to the blacklist, I'm sure you are not the first vendor to fall foul of them.

Try not to let yourself be held ransom by feedback blackmailers, you its all par the course I'm afraid.

This is the first and only problem I have had with my packaging and think it may be a scam as well.

I personally would nicely word a go pound salt message. Anybody that instantly demands you refund or replace a product immediately deserves neither. The way I look at it is if they are so quick to attack you then they will leave bad feedback no matter what. That pill is still edible or sortable whether its broken or not. You more or less need to detail every possible scenario on your vendors page to reduce the amount of messages you get for total bullshit. If you do sell your pills for the cheapest possible price they should be happy you did business with them. If your rating drops to a 4.7 because of it, it will bounce back fast. I really would not sweat it.

I guess I may not have to worry about it is the Road has been seized by LE.  I am aware of the back up [plan but it's only as matter of time when the forum gets shut down.  In case you don't have it here are the backup sites.  But since anyone can find them they will probably be down soon too.  None have worked so far for me.
