Title: member to member transaction
Post by: Happyman99 on September 29, 2013, 08:18 pm
I BOUGHT 177 dollars worth of bitcoins from someone who lives in my area. I gave him 180 dollars cash and he said he sent them over, i got home and checked and not a single thing there! he said he contacted customer support and they said it was completed, but i never got a single thing so in my books everything is not completed!. I saw it go through but i dont have it. I asked for his Username and he said you guys dont need it to figure out incoming transactions, but 2 days is too long to be waiting for my Btc! If i do not get this i could loose where i am living and everything, Please help me with a solution moderators??

You gave someone local cash for a promise to send coins to your Silk Road marketplace username? ???

1)  That is not safe.
2)  Member to member transactions never takes longer than five minutes for the funds to show up.
3)  Sorry, you failed. :(

Member to member transfers are instantaneous, the other person either sent the coins to someone else by mistake or they were not sent so it sounds like you were scammed.

Always use a btc wallet you can download them for free all over the clear net. Next if ymour doing a cash transaction for btc you need to verify it was sent use something like blockchain.com (info) any legitimate btc vendor/dealer will show you they are placing doing the transaction which will generate blockchain info that you can then verify off one of the sites. Once one confirmation has happened it can't be reversed and your in business. Everyone else is correct sending straight to your sr account is not the wisest move in the world. Forbes or one of those magazines just posted an article on the freenet that block chains can be tracked to known sr wallets.
