Title: PIN reset
Post by: motorex on September 27, 2013, 07:49 am
Is there any chance, to reset the PIN before the 72 hours?

Example: My PIN was blocked for 72 hours. After that I tried to change it (I entered numbers only) and now? I have to wait another 72 hours...wtf?!! Ain't I suppose to enter a number? Or just an additional password?

Thanks for any help and enjoy your stay on SR.

Best regards
motorex

ps: Do seller safe or hold back items I want, if I ask 'em? Or are they all "The early bird catches the worm."?
(Of course everyone wants to make money, but is there some kind of fairness?)

I do not know what you have done but it has nothing to do with fairness, PIN resets are automated and the 72 hour waiting period is non negotiable for security reasons.

If you enter the pin incorrectly 5 times it is reset by sending you an email 72 hours later.

Thank you for your reply

Ok, well the 72 are kinda annoying, but still better than nothing  :D

I am sorry, the thing with "fairness" was meant like this (just imagine, that would happen):
I see an item and there are only 3 in stock, so I write to the seller:"Hey, can you reserve me one item, since I can pay it only tomorrow, but not now"

Would that happen?

Has the PIN be numbers or letters? The last time, I entered a (about) 12 combo of numbers, 5 times in a row, and it wasn't accepted...And yes, they were always the same numbers ;)

You know what I have never had to ask myself that question, as in does the pin need to be all numbers or a not. My pin is all numbers and I am not sure if it can be a combination of both numbers and letters.

Can someone else please comment?
