Could the problem be I used an old Address ?

This is frustrating, what happens if I transferred to an old BTC Address ??

Do the coins bounce back to my Exchange or what?

Any help is appreciated

Silk Road is currently experiencing minor deposit delays.  Please contact SR support  in 12 hours if the deposit still has not arrived and they will take care of it.

I am in the same boat. Sent coins over 8 hours ago, 52 confirmations in the block chain and still no coins. I got the same response from SR support (who were very quick to respond, btw).

The problem that kind of scares me is that the blockchain explorer actually shows TWO transactions on my recent deposit. It shows my coins going in to my SR wallet with 52 confirmations, but then 2 hours later it shows the coins exiting my SR wallet with 30 confirmations. The coins never appeared in my SR wallet, but the blockchain says they came AND then they went.

What the heck is going on here?

You are watching the coins go through Silk Road's tumbling mechanism.

I have been quite impressed with SR recently.
It looks like they changed it so you get the coins after 3 confirms. I actually deposited some about 6 hours ago, and they showed up 30 minutes later.

Previously it was meant to be 6 confirms, but you usually only got them after around 8 or so.

Really like these new changes

Thanks, Jack, for the reassurance. Like everything on SR, I'm sure it will work itself out in time. Never lost a dime on the road yet, knock on wood.

FFS

The transaction doesn't appear in the Block Chain at all ???

This is extremely frustrating, patience is not my strong suit, so apologies if I'm sounding needy etc...

I'm just worried because it has gone out of the Exchange and  not appearing in Block Chain,,,,

I sent a msg to support.....

Been nearly 12 hours for me with over 100 confirmations. I have sent a ticket and have a feeling everything will go alright, but it's just a bit nerve-racking when all of my other transfers have gone perfectly within 2 or 3 hours at most.

logged in to make this same post sent to wallet at 4PM now 9:30PM and no sign of em, noticed that on the blockchain bitcoins get sent to 2 addresses with hundreds of transactions, i assumed this was some sort of built in tumbler service

Same boat. As long as the price of my order doesn't go up due to btc fluctuations enough that I can't make said order I guess it won't hurt me this time, but I was scared until checking this topic since this never happened before.

8 hours and counting over here as well. This is a first for me, but I know it's only a matter of time. Still sucks, though.

Yeah, so my coins still aren't in there - frustrating stuff !!

I msg'd SR Admin, and they reverted back saying the BTC should be in my account - which it isn't so I sent them another message.

What are these 'confirmations' everyone is talking about ???

Also, my transaction doesn't appear in the Block Chain - which is worrying !

I'm tempted to create a new SR  Wallet Address - don't know if this will loose my coins though ?

ARGGGG

Thanks for your help guys

When I've made this post I'm moving this thread to customer support so it can make friends with the other half dozen or so on the same issue.

Firstly please do not create a new btc address when you have coins inbound to your account, why people feel the need to do this I will never know, all btc addresses used in conjunction with your account are linked but it can throw a spanner in the works.

Confirmations are shown against the btc address used for the transfer when you do a search on the blockchain, normally a transfer will need at least 6 confirmations before the coins reach their destination, when things get screwy with the SR coin tumbler or whatever has caused this recent issue you may see a very high number of confirmations but still no coins.

Your coins will show up, your just going to have to be patient for a bit whilst things get sorted out, frustrating I know but there is nothing more you can do apart from follow up with SR support if your coins are still delayed.
