I've been seeing a crapload of these and I was wonder if it's even allowed. Most forums I've been to that require a post limit strictly prohibit
-
It is not kindly seen by full members to just avoid getting to know mechanisms ruling this community and instead of this just writing 50 meaningless posts, become jr. member and still doesn't know anything. It is better when you write in normal topics, question things, learn something. The number 50 is to encourage you for doing that. Nothing will happen when you write something funny and meaningless from time to time, just don't avoid education and coeducation with others, don't make spam the most of your posts.
-
Yeah that's what I guessed. I figured that the members who finally break the 50 post limit legitimately will have a higher understanding of silk road "ways" and so on
-
+1 to both of you for attacking the 50 properly and not spamming because as
guerrillashaman said it is looked down on by alot of full members
-
I think the 50 post requirement for newbies is also meant to weed out ACTUAL spammers from those who actually want to use the forums. So ironically, putting in the effort to spam 50 posts probably shows you're determined to become an actual contributor.
However, you may, like me, prefer to take a more relaxed approach to gaining full membership. smoke a J and join in the community in your spare time, it pays off in the amount of extra information and knowledge of SR you get in return for trawling through. Look up newbie review threads for your sellers and find out about their reputation and policies through feedback, I know I could have avoided some anxiety over slow post by researching my sellers here and making a more informed choice.
Plus I get to practice my writing :P

I asking me this quest, too. Now i have my answer. Well explained guerrillashaman.
-
Yey, thanks a lot cryngie! ;D Pleasure writing with you guys.

Thanks for the heads-up on this.
Shame, coz my original forum membership was Jr Member, but one night when fooked I thought I'd make my password unpenetrable, and now I can't remember it! lol
So now I'm starting a fresh one...

I have my important passwords written down and hidden for this very reason haha
Thanks for the replies everyone :)

Thanks everyone. I enjoyed the valuable content of this thread! ;) I had thought about spamming but I am simply going to research and respond with my a statement of my gratitude.
-
true I have seen a bunch as well but as soon as they finish spamming they can just post anywhere else so can it be prevented? if so how?

The spam in the newbie board has been tolerated since the 50 post rule came into being even though spam is not accepted on the main forums. Given most people have come to accept the change to the post rule now there is going to be a gradual cleaning up of the newbie board to reduce the number of spam threads. Those who spammed their way out of the newbie board need not worry about seeing their post count suddenly drop as none of the old spam threads will be deleted, just locked and allowed to slip to the bottom out of site. New spam threads however will be deleted.

right but i want to get onto the forums to warm members of a scammer, yet im restricted as i have to make 50 posts. if i dont use the spam threads this could take weeks/months while others may get scammed.

I have just stickied a spam thread you can use at the top of this board, just use that one.

Well I wouldn't quite say that, the toleration of spam in this board was always going to be temporary whilst members got used to the 50 post rule. The time was always going to come when this board got cleaned up to bring it into line with the rest of the forums but if you want the kudos feel free mate :D

this sight is complicated i have to learn more
-
spam lol this 50 post shit is harsh
-
It shouldn't be, full of invalid crap

Nice

This thread should be LOCKED and people referred to http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=180675.0
Really Frustrating when people seem to feel they are entitled to get to the 50 post because of **INSERT LAME EXCUSE HERE**
If you really want to warn someone about a scammer, message the SR Support.
I for one, would not believe a "warning post" that came from someone who simply SPAMMED their way to 50.
Scamming only results in mistrust and negative Karma - WHY DO IT??????

Agreed, this thread is little more than than another spam thread looking at the posts being mate.
If you need to spam use the spam thread, this one's had it's day.
