Title: A couple of questions needing answers please

Hey just want to ask a couple of things. first, what is escrow? seen it mentioned loads of times but no idea what it means.
and the second question is which is the best place to buy bitcoins in the UK? which ones you brits use the most and are happy with. any input and advice would be great, cheers.

As for the bitcoins localbitcoins.com tends to be fairly easy and anonymous

Suppose ill try to answer the escrow question.....

Basically from what i know, escrow is when YOU the buyer wait to release the funds to the SELLER until your package has arrived.

The opposite to this is FE(Finalize early) Which means that YOU release the funds to the SELLER before recieving your goods.

Trust is the key i imagine.

That's not really the whole picture. Escrow means that there is a independent third party that the buyer gives his money to, and this third party will give the money to the seller, once the transaction has been confirmed by the buyer. In case of an unresolved conflict, the third party will decide if the money is returned to the seller or given to the buyer. Here, the independent third party is Silk Road. BTW, I am noticing some lack of patience here. If you don't have patience, buying on Silk Road will be a very frustrating experience :-p

patience is definitely key ;)
just sending bitcoins around can be an arduous procedure for someone with a short temper
