Title: Bitcoin theft?
Post by: bt3 on September 04, 2013, 09:13 am
Hi,

I've just made my first deposit on SR wallet 2 hours ago. My account shows 0 BTC so I've searched the wallet at blockchain.info. It states that the transaction has been confirmed, BUT a new transaction has been made from my SR wallet to two other wallets. This transaction is still unconfirmed. Is the normal behaviour? Have i been stolen? I'm worried about that  :-\

Regards

Mate, you're all over the shop. Sometimes deposits can take several hours before finally being in your account, especially when the network is busy. The transaction is usually confirmed approx. 6 times before it will show up in your account. How can a transaction be made from your SR Wallet when your currently waiting on your first deposit to arrive? There would be no BTC in there to make any sort of transaction!! Each transaction you make goes from one BTC address to another BTC address. Remember, anyone can store numerous BTC addresses in their Wallet and use them at will.  A single transaction from SR wouldn't be going to two different BTC addresses. A BTC address should only ever be used for a single transaction and then disposed of. Be patient mate and see what happens.

Everything is fine now  :)
The unexpected second transaction still appears at blockchain.info and the pursache transaction doesn't appear. Maybe SR transfered the money from my wallet to its own wallet? I can't understand this but I'm not worried about that now.
Thank you for your understanding.

Yeah it's normal, it's SR automatically washing your coins. Same thing shit me right up the first time I noticed it.

Please read the SR wiki, all of this is covered there regarding the coin tumbler, deposit times etc, you worried needlessly.

Thread locked as resolved.
