Title: I left FE feedback before update, order didn't arrive, can't change feedback

Hi all,

I ordered stuff before the update, left FE feedback and 5 rating. Also, I FE because vendor (100, or 5/5 rating) asked me to, said it would help him. I did it because I like to help when I can. I have immaculate stats on my 1.5 years old account. My order didn't arrive, vendor doesn't respond anymore and now I can't change the feedback!

Vendor got $200 and nice rating and SR Support told me I can't change feedback and they wont do anything about it. I guess $200 is peanuts to them and they can't be bothered with this.

Despite dozens of warnings posted every single week, you still FE'd. Now you learned the hard way.

It doesn't matter if I FE or not. I could have received LSD, finalised upon arrival and tested it couple of days later (happened lots of time) only to find out it was bunk (thankfully never happened). Now we know it's not possible to change the feedback but before the update it was normal in this kind of situations. People are getting screwed with this update, users and vendors. I also learned that SR support is not really a support and that they don't care about users. Even if I didn't FE I couldn't rely on them for any meaningful support.

You chose to FE.  You chose to leave a rating and feedback.  Both were your own choice.  DPR has said to never FE and to finalize when you receive and leaver a feedback and review once tested.  You did everything wrong.

You are just pissed off because you didn't get the outcome you wanted, SR support does care about buyers and the admins work hard to help resolve issues. When however someone chooses not to use the protection built into the system i.e. escrow then they can't help you.

Re the feedback issue I can see how retrospectively that is going to catch a few people out who FE'd before the change. However in future if you do decided to FE just bank the feedback, click out of the page without leaving any and it will stay sat in your order section ready for when you are ready to leave it, you do not have to leave feedback at the point of finalization if you choose not to.

Yes, it's my fault I FE, but that's no the point here.

SR is not only platform where update changes can screw users. Some of us do the same for a living and we are aware of such possibilities. When something like this happens it's up to company to solve the introduced problems, via customer support. Copy/pasting wiki links is not customer support. Well understood functionality and workflow was changed without notice. I bet noone didn't even know it was possible to leave empty feedback and no rating before the update, if it was possible to do so at all! The solution is trivial and wouldn't take more than couple of seconds of their time. That's clear indicator of how much they value their customers.

Sometimes FE can't be avoided with a vendor if they state it's the only way they will ship the order, so your left with the choice of taking the risk, or walking away and finding someone else selling what your after.

I have FE'd on a number of occasions, but I always do so with caution. NEVER on an order I care to lose, if I can't be without it or the BTC, then I wont do it. Why should I lose sleep so someone else doesn't have to, after all i'm the customer right! I tend to do it on small orders if asked, if its something that yes I'll be angry not to get, but its not the end of my world if it does not show.

Use you head, BUT if you do FE and getting scammed, well, don't cry about it man, just learn from it!!

SR do care, but if you told someone not to do something, and they did anyway, how would you handle it?

While I agree it may be annoying - not only to unhappy and happy customers - it is definitely the step in the right direction. I FE and want to edit my feedback but I cannot. Instead, I just wrote something on the vendor's discussion page. But if you do FE and you dont get the product, 'learn from it' as  sinister-breaks said.

FE or not, lost money or not, please understand that's not the point. Yes, I also think this is the step in right direction and it should be so from the beginning. But, since it was not, people got used to the fact they can change it and it was normal to do so not only for FE, but for large number of other, valid, cases.

New update has, without notice, changed workflow to disadvantage of some users. It happens all the time and serious companies who values their users would do something about it. It's trivial to resolve this issue from technical standpoint and small number of users was affected.

I hear ya man, I work in Web Development myself, however I don't think UI / UX is the top of SR priority lol

Some research went into what people wanted, but there is no dry run, no development server, it goes live, and we test it. Thats how Ive always seen it roll out on here.

Personally, Im just happy for the service end of
