Hello all. Three days ago I forgot my PIN (actually I'm 90% sure I had the right one because I had it written down and everything but for simplicity's sake I forgot it) and I ended up locking myself out. I waited patiently until today but alas, they were performing maintenance. I kept checking back to see if they were done and I think what happened is I somehow got a brief window of time where I was able to log in before they were fully done. I was brought to the homepage like normal and I clicked on the link to reset my PIN and tried to do so but after pressing enter it started to take a really long time to go through. Eventually it led me to an error page. I went back to the homepage and thought that the link to reset my PIN would still be there but it wasn't. I then tried to place an order thinking (stupidly) "well maybe it really did go through." It did not, and I was told once again I had five attempts left before it's locked all over again. After that I tried going back to the homepage and once again was brought to the page where it says they are doing maintenance! I don't really want to wait three more days. Is there anything anyone can do to help me? Also, could my account be vulnerable and "PIN-less" right now? This is what I get for being a newbie I guess. Can't even place my first order yet.

Sounds like you may need to reset it again I'm afraid. If you haven't even used the account yet though why don't you just register a new one and start over. The 72 hour wait period is non negotiable either so if you do reset your pin again you will not be able to speed up the process.

Unfortunately I have bitcoins in my account so creating a new one isn't an option. Oh well, I guess patience is a virtue. I suppose being locked out a second time doesn't carry any extra consequences right?

No additional consequences beyond the inconvenience of having to wait another 3 days to spend your BTC, just make sure you use that time to thoroughly research your vendor options so when you are ready to buy you will make a good choice.
