when I bought bitcoins I stupidly put in my SR address instead of my wallet address. When I told the company I bought them from they said coz it was a valid address there was nothing they could do and gave me a blockchain link which shows coins just sitting in that account address but they dont show up on SR for me to use
should I just write them off ?

How many confirmations did the transfer have on blockchain?
Have they now show up?
