I got this advice from an SR vet when I told them BK ripped me off. I am calling Vanilla tomorrow and see if it helps. This would also apply to MoneyPaks and other reload cards. Nothing to lose by trying.
"My suggestion is to get in touch with Vanilla and let them know that the card was stolen and have them put a freeze on whatever account it was loaded to. If there are any available funds on his account, you may be entitled to reimbursement. I would act quickly though because if he's scamming, he probably pulls money off the card at ATMs so that he has the cash before anyone can freeze it up. Even if there are no funds in his account to retrieve, he won't be able to load that account anymore since it will be flagged...this will help any potential future victims. Most people are intimidated by this process because sometimes they require ID...but they're not going to investigate you or anything...they just want proof that you are the rightful owner... they may also ask you to provide the receipt from when you purchased the Vanilla as well as zip code where it was purchased."

humm. interesting... I hope it works for you.. I wonder what can be done with a cash deposit to BOA if i tell them I was depositing for bitcoins and he never delivered and others have the same issue...maybe you can ask the vet you were talking to.. im out 650.00 thats almost a months rent for me..

Like I said...BoA isn't going to do anything for you. They have no dog in this fight. They aren't responsible for him, you or me. They just passed the money along, they have no liability in something like this. I can tell you right now they are going to say there is nothing they can do, it's not their problem, they are just the middleman.
I guarantee that's what they will tell you.

im saying what happened. yea i did take the money but i didnt even want 2 scam people but i felt like some1 elses actions compromised my security 2 the point that I could be in trouble with the law. So I evaluated the situation and I did what I did because I felt like its much better 2 piss people like you off and deal with pissy customers then not have enough cash 2 finance an expensive defense if I get charges. I honestly could give a fuck what u think ur just a random person posting. I dont need sympathy or anything from anyone. but i felt like saying what happened.

So you admit you stole my money? I can't make heads or tails of your rambling other than you admit you stole my money (and other's money) but you really didn't want to. Hey, I didn't want you to steal my money either! You haven't heard the end of this BK, why don't you do the right thing and make restitution. I'm not making any threats but I am not going to forget what you did to me and I am going to continue looking for a way to get satisfaction.
