Hello, just wanted to show some love to my favorite french vanilla coffee and see what everyone else is drinking ;D I take one spoonful of sugar and a dash of milk 8)
If it weren't for caffeine I don't know what I would do with myself.

Dan I love it!!!! I'm a coffee fanatic. I drive two hours away to get my coffee beans because they are so amazing. Blue mountain coffee has a Kona Dream flavor which when ground just right and put into a french press is probably the most orgasmic cup of coffee I've ever had. I drink it black with a few good shakes of cinnamon. It's so good i should offer it on SR lol. I guarantee a live angel choir with every sip.

I have mine with milk and 1 and a half tsp of sugar..in the fridge for special occasions I have Almond Joy flavored creamer stuff..YUM.
I make mine pretty strong and its sort of a science with me..has to be fresh, I can not drink it if it has sat in the pot ..I can taste the difference and it just ruins it..
I think I qualify as an extreme coffee addict..

I use just like 2-3 spoonfulls of sugar, and a few spoonfuls of non-dairy powdered creamer (doesnt mess with my stomach and it last longer)
Drinking some coffee and listening to Widespread Panic as i type this actually.

Lately my shit has been coming from Ethiopia apparently. This was a shock to me so i do have to say that African shit is indeed the bomb.
I keep my stash vacuum sealed always. It keeps it fresh and keeps undesirables from sniffing out my stash. It's just got overpowering smell.
I actually just recently acquired a Turkish coffee pot. My addiction has progressed to the point where just drinking a cup of normal coffee or even the usual edibles like chocolate covered coffee beans just aren't doing the trick so I eventually moved on to concentrates. Even then espresso quickly fizzed out and now i have moved on to the extra fine grounds with Turkish coffee. It's nice to finally be able to empathize with a fellow addict.

I hear ya on the ethiopean. They have won me over as well.
I try to be generous but whenever I get a bag of the good stuff, I buy a bag of crap coffee to go along with it. That way I don't have to share if I don't want to. It disturbs me this plant turned me into such a monster, but its apparent coffee addiction runs in my family. I can't escape it, so why deny this beast. I never really understood alcoholism until I put it in this context. (enter bill hicks bit about listening to guys in AA. "I love the way it smells. I love the way it tastes.")
I actually got to try turkish coffee at the last festival I was at. Was helping out a station and some guy came up and was like, "You look like you enjoy a good cup of coffee." I was like, what the hell. Do I have track marks or something? Are my teeth that stained from excessive use? So I asked him where he was. Later, when everyone, including myself, was all sorts of crazy, I went to his tent to try this out. It was an experience. I mean my influences contributed, but it was pretty special. It's certainly different than a regular cup a joe. It will be forever roasted in my coffee filter of memories.
On a semi related note, a french press is the perfect instrument to make mushroom tea. I have changed the methods of all of my friends when it comes to this. Just thought I'd share.

Starting my day off with some delicious french vanilla coffee and a tiny bit of Blue Dream. Then it's off to the Cheese Sandwich Factory to make cheese sandwiches for all the good little boys and girls.

Any caffiend knows there is no substitution. I've woken up before and needed a fix, but all I had was a soda or tea. It's just not the same. The morning was different for sure.

No brand in particular. I just know whenever I'm at a coffee house or buy a bag, and it's labeled as ethiopian, my thirst for this dehydrating liquid will be quenched. I would post some brands but they are local roasters and it wouldn't be secure. PM me if you are that curious but pretty much what I said is the general rule.

I really don't want to know. I can only envision it being like loosing a close friend. You just gotta find a way to keep on thriving. The date to put the cigs down is going to happen, so I am taking every moment I can to enjoy the feeling of a cup looped around one hand, and a filter wedged between my fingers. Just trying to live in the now, cause the future and the past hurt my head right now.
I am trying keep in mind it doesn't have to be forever. I enjoy this simple little dance way to much to have it be denied. I just need a break. After some time I'll sit down with a friend and indulge over a board game. Trying to make it to where I'm thinking not of it as a departure, but a build up for when I can enjoy this pleasure again. Such is life.
Let us know if it pays off for you though? Cheers to one more morning with such a fine harmony.

I have converted to the 5 hours and I love em, I still also love a nice cup of coffee tho, always a good substitute when I can't find a stronger stimulant.

You guys know that caffeine is an addictive drug which causes withdrawals, don't you? I just wouldn't wanna see any of you go down the wrong path and start doing something possibly unsafe, like drugs. Be careful guys, I care a lot about you all.

I prefer a dark roast with lots of powdered creamer and two splenda. It's more about inducing a good healthy poop than it is a morning pick me up. Two cups of coffee ---> poop ---> two portions of snus. Once my nicotine withdrawal is taken care of my day has peaked, and it's all downhill from there. :(

Sip puff..Oh I am way too far gone for hope on the addiction to caffeine. I can go without the smokes, if I must, but the coffee...I actually get a nasty headache and if I let it go too far I get nausea worse then any other time..
But hey lets all drink up and enjoy another day!

I drink coffee occasionally but I'm much more of a tea man, natural organic specifically. Milky with no sugar, sugar seems to ruin tea for me but 1tsp with coffee is awwwwright.
Also average 15+ cups a day, heavily addicted!

+1 to wine glass Shapes :D I've got a question as well, is it unhygienic to not "properly" wash my mug until there are tea stains(circle rings left when I don't take a sip for a while) pretty much at all levels of the cup? I just rinse it a whole bunch of times after each use, until it starts to even look too bad for me.

I like black coffe because I am in it more for the morning pick me up. If I am really tired, I put 6 sugars in it and some Irish Creme Creamer. It is two opposite ends of the spectrum, but they are both pretty nice to me :)

I've had some oolong tea that doesn't mess around. I would pit that against the strongest cup any day. Felt like I could lift up the back of a station wagon after one.

Yea I still doubt it. That thing has seen a lot of use. I could prolly scrape some of the insides off and put it in a cap if I'm ever in desperate need of a good time.

Oolong is fantastic, I used to love Formosen that was sold in most supermarkets but they went out of business or something...now it's just black tea.

The one oolong I tried was from a legit tea house. The description said, "Drink this if you have stuff to do." The description didn't lie!
Not sure if there is something that is branded that could compete with that. I'll have to go back and find out some specifics.

No coffee after 5 for me. Doesn't always happen but I try to stick to that rule. Otherwise I'll just be staring the ceiling exhausted lying in bed. The movie "Coffee and Cigarettes" comes to mind about this tho. The scene with one of the Wu-tang clan was talking how he likes getting caffeinated before he falls asleep because his dreams are "faster". I'm not sure how that works but I know a couple others that are like this. Lucky bastards. Maybe if I cut the nicotine out it would be possible? Fuck I don't wanna find out.
The non alcoholic baileys sounds like a nightmare as well. I really like the real stuff in my coffee if it's that kinda night, but if it was the other it would just be foreplay without the happy ending. I just can't do anything sweet in my mug. Makes me cringe when I see someone dump +4 sugar packets in a tiny cup.
Looks like things worked out with bruce? My only evidence I can really point to is in this thread. Don't know what else can be done.

Believe it or not, I am not big on taking anything, so I just put up with it and use vicks to breath at night. Just hope I feel normal again soon, hate feeling anything but normal. Well suboxone normal, but normal for me, damn it.
Anyhow sip sip puff puff...oh and I always have thought when you have a cold would be the best time to quit smoking, I at least cut way the hell back when I am sick.

I can't do coffee when I'm sick. All I want to do is rest and that doesn't help. My body temp would already be elevated so it would just make me feel uncomfortable.
Haven't been drinking anything decent in a while, I had to go out and start my day with a breve.

Not quite smoke free but way better than it was. (like 1-2 a day compared to almost a pack) Some shit happened and made me relapse but I gotta remember stupid shit happens all the time. Being constant with exercise is very make or break too and I've had like no time. Got the next few days off so I'm going to make the most of it.
But really, thanks for the well wishing. Was nice to wake up and see this. Puts more motivation in me than I had to do the right thing believe it or not.
Cheers to all my caffiends! You can bet I've got a cup of the good stuff today.

Well truth is, im a sleeper myself. Like a bear usually, but i tend to do this when i have to in order to not reverse or jam up my work/sleep schedule. I would love nothing more than to have been in a mild coma all night, heh. I take it how it comes. 8)

I can smell the coffee on this thread...wow ye love coffee but these days I only drink some when I need it maybe a cup once or twice a week sometimes its 3 in the morning and Im doing something on the web my eyes are closing and im falling off my chair thats when I go get a fave mug put some fresh ground blue mountain in it and pour boiling water over it add some soya milk cool and drink wow its good whats more, using coffee this way is magic suddenly im awake again and not about to fall off my chair only lasts for an hour or so coffee is a powerful drug when you only take it like that used to drink a lot cos it is such a nice drink but used sparingly it really works for me that is reading these posts make me want to go and make some right now haha love peace and good vibes to evevryone here

I drink coffee out of a measuring cup, and measure out my daily dose(s) of caffeine based on what I'll be doing that day.
I have yet to dose today, and thanks to seeing you folks' earlier conversation, I'd like to try coffee with a little something extra in it. Can't wait for my next package.

Black Silk, a really dark Folger's coffee grind. Really good in the morning with a fresh bowl of green and the morning paper. I go for robust dark coffees, grind my own beans when I can get good beans but Folgers makes do. :) No replacement for good bud though. Hehe.

So I've come back with an amazing trip report.
I woke up around 8am on Saturday morning. I was still a bit tired from the day before from working a hard day's shift at the Cheese Sandwich Factory making cheese sandwiches for all the good little boys and girls so I was in need of a STRONG pick me up and my bullet had run dry weeks ago. So I made sure I had one of my favorite strains of weed rolled up nice and tight in it's zig-zag home. I almost felt bad burning it's home to the ground and inhaling it into my lungs but I managed to press forward. I sparked the tip of it's very precious and flammable roof with the flicker from my bic and before anyone knew what had happened. I then walked to my kitchen were you would swear Jesus himself had come down and help me make this cup of coffee. I ground up some fresh beans and turned on the coffee pot. The smell of a classic medium roast fills the room. The rich, pure taste is important to the growers of these beans. That's why they specially roast each bean at the right temperature to release rich flavors and aromas. At this point I'm almost getting a semi for the coffee. I put the beans in the coffee pot and like usher says I let it burn..... sort of.... gets hot.... but not really burns... but anyway the moment of truth was approaching so I ran downstairs to the ice cream man's basement where all 347 flavors of ice cream are stored and I go for the plain vanilla. I then run back upstairs where my first cup is there waiting for me. The moment of truth has come upon me. I go and get an icecream scooper from my drawer next to my refrigerator and commence in taking one very, very hefty scoop of icecream. The icecream has now been put in the coffee and it's finally time to give this a try. So I pick the cup up and put it to my mouth. I take a sip. And........... it's pretty good. ;D

I am a sucker for a mind-blowing cup of coffee.
My favs include anything that Dillanos makes - they have some strong blends...and I tend to favor the espresso roasts. I swear their coffee actually tastes like it smells. Unreal.
Also, Vietnamese iced coffee made with sweetened condensed milk is AMAZING. If you have never tried it, you have never really lived.

We have ppl who drink coffee out of wine glasses, don't drink coffee, drink coffee round the clock, use ice cream as a creamer..you name it..I say all are welcome to hang! Just don't mind the smoke and the wafting coffee aroma of the room..

Hi DanDanI've no idea how they compare, I've never tried the wax either lol The honeycomb is excellent although he said it wasn't his best stuff so I can't wait till he makes some of his usual. I've only seen the wax for sale in US and Canada, when they call it earwax it puts me off lol :) Is it concentrate too hun?

Just got off the phone with animal control. Their suggestion is to trap them, put trap in a garbage can, fill garbage can with water. I'd rather put miss animal control in a garbage can. Evil fembot.
I poked the possum with the handle of my shovel. It just grunts at me. Now with the skunk there, I don't dare try that again. That little bastard just hopped right at me! HOPPED! With its little jacked up tail! Gonna try the food thing. Will update

@Mary I'm not sure if it was a concentrate I got it from TGOD it was the crumble wax.
@Chevelle I definitely wouldn't be poking it with anything, all you need is the skunk to get mad and spray your garage up. The smell will last a very, very long time. I would try the food method. Kind of a funny problem to have ;D

No new faces, one of the guidelines I try to follow ;D So pretty much every single person I smoke with I also sell weed to. Dan I am completely addicted to the birds..I play on the android phone, ipad, ipod, blackberry playbook..lol and we have it for the nintendo DS.
I prefer the ipad because its BIGGER and somewhat easier..but my phone is the only safe device that the kids do not steal my mighty eagles or the special stuff you can buy to beat tough levels.
I am horrible at first person shooters, my kids used to laugh at me when I would try to play Grand Theft Auto with them..but for whatever reason I am very good at Angry Birds.
I say give it another shot! There are so many versions out now, Space and both of the Star Wars are pretty fun..

Update on the skunk and possum situation.Well I ended up taking animal controls recommendation and killed those fucks....just kidding. Jeff(skunk) and Leroy(possom) have found a new home in my garage.
After taking the recommendation to feed them..Doh!...they seem to really like me. I'm not too fond of Leroy, due to his incredible ugliness and never ending grunting. But Jeffis about the cutess thing ever. I went outside yesterday with my cat and here comes Jeff! Hop hop hop! So my cat runs up to it and I'm screaming No! No! No! And the skunk just goes ninja hopping in circles around my cat! I'm sure I'm in for a day of cat baths, but no...they start playing in the back yard. Taking turns chasing each other!
Anyways...who am I to judge? I figure let them be. I didn't really feel like cleaning out the garage anyways. Also I guess its not uncommon for possums and skunks to bed together. Learned something new. And they love cat food...so its all good.

I had to cut down my 2x 1.5m Cannabis plants, because they became to visible, bad spot, but I've got the technique down pretty good for guerilla growing nexy year. I grow a bunch of flowers and herbs and stuff for health, as well as stuff that is poisonous, I like the idea of knowing what the visual/physical aspects of plants bring about. Didn't grow any veggies, got a couple potatoes, only because I'm Irish and they're Solanacea(nightshade family.) The tall morning glory is my current project, working on a high-yield frost tolerant hybrid. I need a plant that will flower early, grow big, and produce a shit-ton of seeds, I'm starting with heavenly blue x blue star.
I am a big fan of Deadly Nightshade, I plant it everywhere, I love it, it has energy to it, much like the morning glory, only darker. You should plant clover and basil everywhere, it is very good for the soil and your other plants. Feed them with 1/8th strength regular old generic 15-30-15, once a week, can't go wrong. I'm looking into growing Illinois Bundleflower, Desmanthus Illinoisensis(sp?) it is an annual herb that contains DMT, native to the central US. It tolerates the cold and is not watched by anyone, anywhere. I figure if I grow a 10x10ft plot of it, I could get 10g from 40 plants, assuming each plant is 0.5-1% DMT dried, and the plants weigh 10-20kg wet. Extracting is a bitch, but DMT goes for $150/g so that's $1500 from a weed that almost no one knows about, and most people would cut down. Also thinking about Phalaris grass for the same reason, even easier, as you can mow a lawn of it, and dry it like hay, it'll keep growing! you can even grow it in flats like wheatgrass and save the juice. Well, thats how I think, let the plants do the work, although I like eating my crops more than making drugs and such from them.

Well for practical applications I do enjoy growing tomatoes, basil, and peppers. I do see the practical applications of growing poisonous plants, they do have a certain beauty about them. Probably why I love begonias so much though Nightshade is considered more poisonous. You are spot on about basil and clover.

Most cops don't even know what Peyote looks like. I would tell people it's a "Living Rock" succulent, they look close enough. Illegal in the US, but almost nowhere else in the world, go figure! I'd buy it anyway, they'd have a hard time making a case, assuming someone did know what it was. Plus, it'll take many years to grow, so it is like having pet turtles in a sense =)
Of course, you could go for a columnar cactus, and graft 4-5 of them onto the top, they grow faster that way, from what I hear. I tried to buy some P.Torch at a garden center and it was some other kind of cactus, still pretty. From what I hear, cops don't even know shit about drugs, seriously, like if you get caught with something, DON'T tell them what it is. Many people make that mistake, when the truth is that they don't even carry test kits most of the time. I have inside info, and from what I hear, the local PD would have to run a $300 test if they had NO intelligence to go by, so fuck 'em, mystery powder/pill/liquid is vitamins, its always vitamins. =) Speaking of which, I've been eating some rice-grown Reishi mushrooms and its really been improving my health and stamina, the Chi force within me is getting stronger! Pretty soon, I'll be the Man with the Iron Fists!

Yeah, these caps were 90-100mg, it hit me like a fucking TRAIN! I remember quoting Tuco from Breaking Bad when it hit me "This shit hits harder than a mule with his balls wrapped in duct tape!"
Oh! and I hadn't slept for about 30 hours....

Thanks for the advice Green. I'm going to contact the vendor about them. LE is really dumb where I live (NW USA), the busts they make are word of mouth via snitches. I don't think many people would actually know what a Peyote plant is. Except for the fact it is a pretty odd looking cacti.

some real stuff and they left their backpack out and it got stolen with 2 sheets in it.
I wish I'd bought 10x10 packs back in 99 for like $5k, it'd be worth about
100k now. That's why I'm going to stockpile LSD for my retirement.

Cocaine is the way to wake up, if you don't mind the mid-morning come-down.
Most of the time I've done it, I had already been doing it all night, so I'm not sure if
that really counts. Many night runs, I was the midnight rider, and I had a flawless
record, I do owe much of that to cocaine.
The Buprenorphine kills the cocaine euphoria for me, I even tried smoking rocks with one of
my heavy-hitters, took 4 big cloud-hits, didn't float my boat, could have been shit coke,
but I've noticed that if I were to take methadone or anything but bupe, I would have a normal experience, perhaps some of cocaine's action is upon the kappa opioid receptor? that would explain
why more methadone patients have trouble with cocaine, it lacks kappa activity. There is also
a difference in individual response to kappa activation, especially between males/females,
this has been documented. Ahh.. I used to hate the buprenorphine taste, especially
suboxone, but I couldn't stop myself from snorting the subutex, so I had to go orange.
Now, I don't love it, but I'm thankful for it, its like chewing on a bag of heroin!
I am going to go have a ciggie soon,

Thanks for the words of encouragement. It is indeed the best thing I can do for myself. If I dont quit my two pack a day habit now, which costs $20 freakin dollars a day!, I will surely end up in the hospital hooked up to an Oxygen machine and I just dont want that. I truly believe that weed has somehow protected me all these years from my awful nicotine habit. Nothing I can prove but either that or just dumb luck that I have been able to smoke for 15 years with little to no consequence. Shits catching up with me.
Anyhow, here's to a fresh start for my black lungs.

I can totally relate brother. I quit smoking manufactured ciggs back in the 90's. I only make my own smokes now. And with pipe tobacco type cuts being taxed less they are selling cigg tobacco as pipe. It's much cheaper and cleaner to smoke. I don't want to enable you to get sick I'm just telling you why my lungs don't hurt, unless its from too much hash. ;)

The nicotine supposedly wakes up parts of your brain that should normally be dormant while you sleep and kicks your dreams into overdrive. I have never tried this, has anyone else?

I think you have me beat on the frequency but I think we have both reached about the same amount of time of how long we have done it.
The best advice I can give is exercise. Burn the chemical out of you. Anything cardio. Don't put yourself down if you can't go far in a work out with a set of smokers lungs. Take as small steps. You will be surprised how it adds up. If your body feels healthier, it is easier to make healthier decisions. A slow hike, even around your neighborhood makes a massive difference. When you have been a smoker for as long as we have, it's so easy to forget what "normal" is. If you can get a glimpse of what that is, it will be easier to decide that's how you want to continue how to feel.
Find a supplement to chew on. I like toothpicks!
Remind yourself a nicotine craving only lasts no more than 20 minutes. Usually 5-10. If you have the thought wait 20 and see if you still want one as bad. Believe me, there is a difference.
Replace stepping out side to have one with something else. I've used a yo-yo before. Recently it's been practicing poi.
Learn breathing exercises. It doesn't have to be anything special. We do them anyway as a smoker. Deep breaths, holding it, circular breathing. Do the same exact thing as you would when smoking except with out a cig.
Cold turkey works the best.
My only downfall is when I wake up, I don't know who the fuck I am, and forget what I promised what I had to do that day in the morning. I should just commit myself to a mental institution so when I wake up, I'm strapped to a bed. :P

I always thought it was good pre-workout material, some say for endurance sports it isn't, but they are full of shit. CaMP transmission is temporarily enhanced, and the oils in the coffee help promote healing of the muscles when you are done. This crazy coffee shop in town serves this coffee, they put like 750mg in a red-eye. I drink one about 3-4x a year if I'm hurting, but damn, I can taste the caffeine more than the coffee, not sure how that is possible... Palpitations are the spice of life.
