Post by: Nemesis0914 on August 11, 2013, 04:00 pm
I heard in some countries they see it as a sign if the address and name dont match anything on their database is this true?

What countries have you heard this applies too?

In the US if your mail is not addressed to the person(s) registered as living there then it can cause issues yes, I am however not aware of any customs screening that checks for this upon entry into a country.

I haven't heard of any customs doing that, but who knows? I am aware that if the name and the address don't match up in the US you won't get your package

Names and addresses are not linked in Australia so you can use any name you like.

I find it's easiest to use your own name, especially if you have been living at the address for a long period of time.
